Would you consider this tension between main characters as a good plot device?

Malia Hano is the Half-Angel in my book. she is usually merciful to the villains and beats them by simply brainwashing them with "Love Magic," and making them forget their lives of crime. Lawful Good innocent Idealist.

Kristen Lentz is the Water Elementalist. She beats villains through brute force and sometimes goes overboard, leading to reprimanding by Malia, who is the party leader. Chaotic Good.

Rayne Aso is the Shadow Teleporter, and she often wins fights by teleport-backstabbing the opponents, killing them instantly. This too creates tension with the party leader, As she is Chaotic Good.

Miracle is the fourth party member, and she too is sort of an idealist. In fact, she has been known to heal the villains wounded by Kristen and Rayne.

There is a lot of planned banter between the characters, as they rarely 100% agree on how to proceed in any given crime-fighting situation.

Do you think this can create enough internal tension in the party to create a suspenseful plot, like I want Kristen and Malia to feel like knife's edge at times, so that people wonder whether Kristen will leave the party at some point.

I should also add that my characters are intentionally over-powered, because the book I am working on is a satire of other super-heroes and super-villains. I was going to have Kristen "destroy Superman," but i think that is illegal.
