personally, I never understood Seinfeld. I don't know why but I found it ot not really have a understandable plot or storyline.

+1 yOh man, breaking my heart, Seinfeld is incredible! If you’re looking for plot, though, it might not be for you. That show is about the jokes and the interactions that make mundane things hilarious. Any plot line is loose and maybe just a season long arc that is only of minor importance, really only serving as a vehicle for jokes. Great, great characters, too, just outstanding comedic performances.
I’d say what I don’t get is a lot of reality TV. Why am I watching people live? I get that they’re weirdos and they do crazy shit, but that’s an ugly side of humanity I want to see LESS of, not more. My girlfriend is into a lot of it, Real Housewives Of Everywhere, Vanderpump Rules, the Bachelor/Bachelorette shows. The thing I keep coming back to is…. I don’t know these people personally, so I just have no interest in watching them act like idiots. People who I knew personally, if they acted like idiots, I would start the process of no longer knowing them personally upon seeing it. I can’t imagine being like “I NEED SEVERAL HOURS OF THIS PUMPED INTO MY VEINS!” I cannot stand interpersonal drama, and that’s what these shows are based around, so that’s the opposite of what I’m trying to watch, lmfao.

So, I got married at 20, so I never understood Steinfeld either. But once I divorced and started dating... dude the show is hilarious. I totally get the humor now. Steinfeld was literally a show about nothing, that was the joke. Just day to day stuff and situation, that happens all the time but is funny if you think about it.
BOSOM BUDDIES!

Like I never got this show. I was like 5 years old when it came out... but the premise of the show was that these two straight guys, dress like woman so they could live in a cheap apartment just for woman.
Like, who the hell would ever think these two men were woman. Like as a kid I could not understand it, like it's so obvious these are two guys with wigs on, dressed like woman.
I never got it honestly.

+1 yFriends.
I'm not white or rich, so it was never something relevant.
Watching it more recently, I realized the laugh track put me off. It runs at nearly every line, even when nothing funny is said. Or worse, it runs to make Ross' incel manchild behaviour "cute".
I never understood the show. It isn't funny. The people aren't good friends. You can't afford that kind of mansion in NYC on a server salary.
Just overall a terrible show. The only people I know who like it are middle aged middle-upperclass straight white women.
It is the Pumpkin spice of TV shows.65 Reply- +1 y
the laugh track sounds draw some people to laugh that is ehy they enjoy series friends not the jokes.

Friends, the apartment they lived in was rent controlled. Monica only got it from her grandmother through inheritance. Moncia moved to care for her grandmother, then her grandmother died, and she inherited the rent control that how she afforded it.
I appreciated the Jefferson's and the Fresh Prince of Belair, and I didn't have to be black to be relevant to me. They were good shows. Too back so see you so racially relevant about everything... you don't sound racists at all.
it was the show about nothing- Seinfeld. hilarious!

Well for me Jerry Springer , being an Aussie that kind of Trash TV doesn't quite cut it , but I had a fascination , as to ' Were these people Real or Fake? " , still dont know.

It was pretty much stretching truth and embellishing it. They did get a free holiday I believe in exchange
+1 yThe office. It's just a show about a bunch of terrible people causing problems for each other for like... 9 seasons? It's ridiculous, I sat through every season just to try and see what the hype was about, hoping I would find that point where it was actually good, and I do not get it at all. Parks and Rec does a better job with the fake docu-series style sitcom than they do and their characters are much more likable.

@rosemilk As I said the original " Office " was not the USA version , written by Ricky G..
He sold the rights into the USA , Its about Irony ( Ironic ) and some of the things that happen with bosses , the original is VERY funny , but not for a USA audience , because Irony doesn't work in the USA. And far from " immature " it requires some considerable intelligence to understand the sub plots. - +1 y

+1 yThis is more of a cartoon but Beavis and Butthead. Just seems like 2 guys that love to hurt each other and think it's funny to bleed while being in excruciating pain.

Ironically it was made by the same guy as King of the Hill
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yTo be fair, I did not watch it very often, but "Friends," was a show the appeal of which I never understood.
It had funny moments, to be sure. However, for the most part, it seemed like the same 6 people doing the same things over and over again only to end up about where they started.
This especially including the fact that they seemed to all fall in love with each other. Then break up and then fall in love with another one of the 6 in their group. Then break up and maybe see someone else and then break up and go back to the people they had started with, world without end.
It just did not work for me and I could rarely get interested in it.
P. S. By the way, have to admit I loved "Seinfeld."

The Prisoner was such a great show. You really had to pay attention to it and it had many different levels. It also was created in the 1960s which was a post war environment when everyone was trying to figure out who they were. It was the individual VS. The group mind. It was a satire on government. It was also an attack on the lack of transparency in our society. Rhe theme music was amazing as well.

Ugh! Those “adult” cartoons are so immature!
1.2K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. "I found it [to] not really have a understandable plot or storyline." No, that's the point. Seinfeld himself said "It's a show about nothing". Really it's just about people's idiosyncrasies. In a way each episode was a comedy routine, except of someone standing on a stage and telling the story, it was acted out.
00 ReplyI watched reruns of friends, and i was like. umm why are people obsessed with this. It had some decent jokes but it was like what's the point of any of this
