Trending & News I'm very harsh about TV and I'm to the point where they should just stop trying now. I haven't seen anything good since 1883. The show, not the year, though with how bad things are it almost seems like it was since the year. And they never should have ___ because that show could have gone on forever if they had done it right.
I like the first few seasons of Big Bang when all the jokes and stories were sharp, then it just got into throwing them into inane situations like they always do. Penny looked like she just rolled out of bed and showed up for filming, I would never go out like that.
I like the last 5 or 6 seasons of Seinfeld, but not the beginning ones. I didn't like How I Met Your Mother at all, but there are some really funny episodes here and there. I didn't like Community, Parks & Recreation, The Office or 30 Rock, they all have that phony hipster Tina Fey kind of vibe to them.
I love almost every season of Modern Family, though even that has some clunkers towards the end. It was also interesting watching that girl Lily grow up from literally a baby to almost a woman. Now she's out in the world and doesn't know what to do with herself because her entire life was on that show, sort of like that Starr Manning who was on One Life to Live since age 7 and is still going now at age 34, always with somewhere to go in the morning. They should put Lily on a soap opera just for that reason.
Seinfeld, The Office, modern family, MASH, Severance... there's a few more 😁
Im kind of picky when it comes to TV shows/series.
Same here
"The Big Bang Theory" is an enigma.. It's like I don't know anybody who thinks is great, but yet somehow it's popular.. But same with that one..
Friends- I get the appeal, but it's kinda corny to me..
Game of Thrones- I don't know, I just don't feel like hearing constant British accents and watching sex scenes..
Rick & Morty- I just didn't find it funny and people over hyped the "intelligence" factor of the show.
South Park- I can appreciate that it makes fun of the ridiculousness of today's culture, but I never cared for the show..
Family Guy- I watched a lot of episodes when my brother would have it on the T. V and... I never got into it.. At all..
I couldn't get into any sitcom I believe, so big bang theory, how I met your mother, friends and things like that. Because I don't relate to this humor. Couldn't get into any US cartoons, Simpsons, Futurama, Rick & Morty, Bojack, South Park etc etc, that's because I don't like US aesthetics in comics, though I can like that type of humor, just not the visuals.
The only comedy that worked on me was The Good Place, oh and Good Omens too, and Upload. They both showed some social commentary and I have a thing for afterlife settings it seems.
Aside from that, I have been more into drama/adventure/SF/mystery/fantasy shows than anything else
The good place and Upload were awesome shows. Definitely loved those too.
And you reminded me to watch UPLOAD season 3, I missed it, thanks !
I totally get that! For me, it was "Friends." While I appreciated its impact on pop culture and its talented cast, I never quite connected with the humor and storylines. Sometimes, despite the show's popularity, it just doesn't click, and tastes vary, which is what makes discussions about TV shows so interesting! 🎨📺

Oh c'mon of course gals can't relate to those, you are too offended by that guy who said legendary, or by creepy walowitz flirter, to enjoy the rest!
Seinfeld is more like situations absurd situations so some expect a different type of humor.
The Big Bang Theory, was popular and i found it very funny!
How I Met Your Mother had some stories but was boring.
Seinfeld i found funny due to absurdly funny situations.
People around me loved series friends and said it was funny, but i think they just like laughing together with the laugh track, there was no comedy... so a turkey fell on his head funny?
I used to be like that
But I ended up giving HIMYM and BBT a real chance and they were fun
Seinfeld not so much. Far too dated for me.
The one I did watch but don’t understand why people enjoy so much is Breaking Bad
Sure it’s not the worst but even as a crime drama it’s lacking so much
I much prefer shows like Sons of Anarchy and Peaky Blinders, even the Sopranos from that genre
A lot. I need to give it another shot, but maybe the most prominent would be The Sopranos. Something about the “mob guy” persona is very off-putting to me, the “ayyyyyyy, fuhgettaboutit🤌” vibe….. absolutely fuckin’ hate it, lmao. Never seen The Godfather, either, same reason. I actually liked Goodfellas, but I’m always annoyed while I watch it. Someone like a Joe Pesci is tough for me to get through😂😂😂
Breaking bad. I managed to make it to the part where there was the plane crash but I had to stop watching at that point. The show was just too dark and it was making me depressed and stressed out which in my opinion is a testament to how gritty and good the show is. Good cinema makes you feel and breaking bad made me feel kind of sick honestly.
Thank you! I agree with you about Breaking Bad, it's perhaps the most overrated show ever. It's so predictable that I had to stop watching. Walter gets in trouble, Walter gets out of trouble. Walter gets in trouble, Walter gets out of trouble. It was that way the entire series. Was like watching a superhero movie. You know they're not going to die so what's the point?
@AndrésC64 You completely misunderstood what I said.
@AndrésC64 "Thank you! I agree with you about Breaking Bad, it's perhaps the most overrated show ever" I didn't say it was underrated I said it was a work of art or word for word. "The show was just too dark and it was making me depressed and stressed out which in my opinion is a testament to how gritty and good the show is. Good cinema makes you feel and breaking bad made me feel kind of sick honestly." Nothing I said had anything at all to do with it being predictable and dull if anything it's the inverse.
@AndrésC64 So yes you did completely misunderstand what I said on a factual level.
@AndrésC64 No you're just too insecure to admit you're wrong which is pathetic.
@AndrésC64 I speak English dumbass I know what you wrote and said I fucking quoted your own words back to you God some people are stupid.
@AndrésC64 Pathetic.
I never really saw the appeal of Seinfeld.
I abhor nearly every iteration of “reality TV”.
“Rick & Morty” gets rave reviews but it completely escapes me.
On the other side of the spectrum, i hated neither the last season nor the last episode of “Game of Thrones”. It actually wrapped everything up quite nicely, in my opinion.
Yes, rick and morty was over rated it was interesting but "no stakes" and everything cynical. I suspect the reviews were fake hype to reward the atheism and anti god, not for actual quality.
That's crazy, Seinfeld is great and Barney from How I met your mother is the best. I can see why one wouldn't like big bang though.
As for me Friends is pure trash, never seen a good moment of it, plus I can hardly tell what one of the actors is even saying due to his accent lol
I love all three of those, though I’ve only seen Seinfeld and How I Met Your Mother in reruns. The characters in Seinfeld are very selfish though.
They are indeed.
You mean jerry pal raids jerry fridge! But jerry does not complain nor charge him "buy a replacement cheese etc" it was just a silly situation to laugh at, but jerry character was not selfish.
@strateguy632 they are loyal to each other, but they are still very selfish
Seinfeld, game of thrones, walking dead, sopranos, breaking bad. I'm just not interested in them at all. Game of thrones is only popular because of the nudity and violence. Seinfeld was boring, I don't like crime dramas, walking dead wore out it's welcome.
Seinfeld, 100% — don’t get it, don’t think it was ever funny.
Friends — never watched it, thought it was corny, lame, unfunny, and a waste of time.
All of the 3 you mentioned and there are ones from UK called Emerdale and Crossroads that just didn't do it for me while Neighbours and even Home and Away were right up my street.
I never even started watching any of the three you mentioned. They hold zero interest for me. One I did start watching and never found interest in that is popular … Pinky Blinders.
Most popular shows including The Witcher and Game of Thrones
I only watched first few episodes and the bloodshed and violence was very unsettling to watch
I totaly get you! It was too brutal.
Game of Thrones. I never understood why it was so popular.
Some people love brutality and wish we had gladiators again. Ugh.
I loved that show and the books. I can't explain why, I just loved the story. I think it was more about there wasn't characters to really care about. It was how the entire society functioned and that was more the story to care about then the individual characters.
Any sit com, any soap opera, most horror except sci fi horror of course. I can stomach detective shows or westerns, my thing is sci fi.
Next to everything that's ''popular''.
Therefore, I kicked out TV from my home over 10 years ago - and have a better life now.
This is actually a cartoon during 2020 I tried watching Sailor Moon but I couldn't get into it
I could list probably 95% of TV shows ever made.
I'm sure there's tons of the. But, except for a few shows, I quit watching t. v. back in the late `80's.
Grey's anatomy, South Park, the walking dead (and all it's sequels).
I never liked The Office, and I hate all the stupid reality shows and all the American Idol shows.
I agree some people liked office (the American remake of a British series) but it was just drama not comedy. Except a few pranks between jim and a guy which wasn't funny just drama.
I loved BBT and Seinfeld.
Shows I HATED:
Everybody Loves Raymond
Friends
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The News. Like, why would anyone watch such a load of depressing crap?
Simples...
Everybody Loves Raymond
Night Court
WKRP
Taxi
From more modern ones
The Walking Dead and Dr. Who
Those are awesome, I'll try to stay in the 2000's King of Queens, Boston Legal? My memory is going!
I agree, i saw a few episodes of king of queens it just was drama not comedy.
Seinfeld, How I met your mother. Friends spec
I like when Chicago fire and Chicago dp hook up in episodes
For me, there are several of them: Breaking bad, The Office, Modern family, and MASH.
I'm definitely with you on those three plus Frazer
Friends, have no idea why that show is popular.
Me either, i guess people related to the characters, rachel getting her first job and struggling as a waittress, ross and Monica siblings infighting, it was relatable but i agree not comedy... even with laugh tracks in background.
In fact if you notice at which point we hear laughing the minute before did not have a joke nor punchline. Just some laugh along lkments.
Moments*
Chicago Fire 🚒
Chicago Police 🚓
Breaking bad, I hate drugs so
Dexter
Tits & Dragons
Twin Peaks

All of them. TV is fucking stupid. What a waste of time.
Game of thrones, harry potter
Friends
HIMYM
Office
Parks & rec
TWD and Breaking Bad
Any of the reality show.
No tv shows for me
C o n t r o v e r s i a l
Movies?
@Maybe_Maybe_not
No movies for me lmao
Really controversial, and intriguing nowadays... Only books then?
@Maybe_Maybe_not
No books for me lol
You're puzzling haha
I've never heard of anyone using no books nor cinema on leisure time, how do you survive without stories? And more importantly how do you come up with this imagination you have without a relation to stories?
Or do you mean you ceased using books and cinema, that would make more sense to me
@Maybe_Maybe_not I listen a lot
This is my tool, this is my entertainment
I use my personal experience and I focus on emotional aspects
Hmmmm that's a very very atypical sight, to me 🤔. What do you dislike about fiction then, you don't relate bc it's not about reality?
Basically all of them
Friends
dramas all of them
1923 Yellowstone
friends
South Park.
@Tamera952 Too random for me. I don't like Rick and Morty, either.
I do like Family Guy and American Dad, but not enough to go out of my way to watch them.
Same here
Friends
Young Sheldon.
Gregs Anatomy @Lilly1979
Friends
Any sitcom
