Seinfeld was & will always be in a class of its own & it was a show that first aired on NBC & ran from July 5, 1989, to May 14, 1998 & I can honestly say I didn’t really watch it but got in to it years later. It was a show about nothing & it was gold as they say.

THE best? No. In the top 50? Certainly.

Frazier had unusually good writing for a sitcom, for example. Was it THE best? No. But it was in the top bunch.

THE best is going to vary by country, state, county, demographic, yada yada, etc.

Seinfeld is top 3 I would say maybe first. It's very relateble. It's normal every day conversations and issues. The story line is mixed so they can start at B then C and finnish at A. That's what made the show so special.

The show would have been great if it weren't for Jerry, I find his humor boring. The cast carried him.

It's definitely the best sitcom that doesn't have a plot.

Is it the best overall? I don't know. There are many other good sitcoms, starting with I Love Lucy in the 1950s up to The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother in the 2010s.
