I love the old stories of MASSIVE ancient drums used in feudal Japan. They would cut holes into the sides of drums so massive it took hundreds of men to move.

Drum beats would reverb over massive distances and act as coordinating orders.

I just would so love to hit such a huge drum. Super cool.
