Has anybody noticed that Netflix again stopped allowing password sharing?

I noticed a few weeks ago that I could get back into Netflix using somebody else's password. I figured that Netflix lost a lot of business by preventing people from sharing their passwords so they stopped doing it. I watched the first half of Extraction 2 on Saturday and when I wanted to watch the rest of it on Sunday i found I was locked out. Damn.

Whatever Netflix does to try to stop this will immediately be fixed by people in the hacking community. Netflix cannot stop this. I don't use someone else's account. I just use a hacked app. This goes for all the other streaming services, too. For some of them, I have to run a VPN set in their country, but that is easily done. Any streaming service and television network in the world can be easily accessed for free online. I think the only exception is the 1 or 2 North Korean t. v. stations because they are so low-tech, they are not streamed online. 🤣 They are probably still operating with black-and-white tv! 🤭🤣🤭

Haven't they been announcing this for months? They've declared, and fair enough, that they want their money if you're using their subscription, and so they would put an end to this (or try to at least).

It was blocked for a while then for a few weeks it was unblocked. I heard they were getting a lot of cancelations so maybe they changed their mind. Then Sunday it was blocked again.

I just read up on this. Apparently they officially launched their plans to stop password sharing in May of this year in the US. They did suffer subscription loss abroad, but according to their reports, state side they are managing to convert password sharing into paid subscriptions by basically saying, you can share your password, you just need to do it via adding an extra profile to your account or you can allow users to start their own paid subscription, but transfer all your profile info to their account so they don't have to start over. They say they are definitely 100% going forward with these plans, have changed their FAQ's to reflect the new changes, and of course have every right to block users from using their services for free.

Yeah. I just let my subscription run out. There's never nothing good on. The last time anything worth watching was on it was Stranger things, the f*cked up the witcher with S3. Wednesday is OK and I like jenna ortega but the only reason I watched it was for my girlfriend and we always had sex, same with Bridgerton.

I'm on showtime right now and Disney. Thinking about dropping all streaming services anyhow.

I’ll be surprised if pirating doesn’t make a comeback. Streaming services are now more expensive than cable tv. My advice? Make a list of each show you want to watch on each platform and only pay for a single month on each at a time.

Yeah. Those dirty pricks decided they didn't have enough money. Despite a 2022 revenue of 31.6 BILLION dollars.

I'm sure the backlash they're getting will hopefully change their minds.
