What’s the last TV show that impressed you?

It’s “Severance” for me. My brother is my roadmap, when it’s about movies and shows. He generally has a great and a sophisticated taste in arts, movies and music.

He told me to watch it, I started it but the first part of the first episode was boring and I stopped and fell asleep. Then he told me to just watch it till the end of first episode. I’ve been hooked since then. I am now watching the last, 9th episode and I am thankful to my brother for showing it to me. It’s just impressive !

Westworld

I thought it was well thought out.

This scene is an example of how creepy the show could be where Dr. Ford is talking with Teresa Cullen who was discreetly having sex with Bernard not realizing Bernard was a robot (and Bernard didn't know he was a robot either).

And this scene was mind-blowing but you had to be a follower of the show to appreciate the impact of the scene. It answers two massive viewer questions: "Who killed Arnold?" (Delores) and "Is Bernard a robot? (Yes, he's a robot copy of Arnold, Dr. Ford's partner who created Westworld. Arnold, a genius, found a way to give the hosts sentience and realized he was creating a race of slaves, so he had Delores - the first "host" robot - kill him.)"

@Meisdipa I didn't see the 4th and final season. The 2nd season was not as good as the 1st, but it was important toward moving the overall plot forward. I actually very much enjoyed the 3rd season which a lot of people didn't probably because they didn't "get it". It was actually brilliant with its themes.

I think the morning show is pretty impressive primarily for the production values. The story is kind of mundane and not surprising, but the production values are just spectacular. Also, the mandalorian was a spectacular series by Disney again with outstanding production values and also a great story.

Definitely season 2 two of Invasion on apple tv+. I really like how they're incorporating the sci-fi. Feels like it's staying true to the genre.

first season is very slow so heads up. I skipped certain parts I knew wouldn't matter. Just had a feeling they didn't & was right (because I'm pretty dope & discerning relevance). 🤣 But I also recommend "foundation" & "silo" both on apple tv. Both are some of the best shows I've ever seen ngl. Apple tv is really doing it right.

I cannot think of any current shows that are as good as the shows in the 70s and 80s. Even the new Star Trek shows are really not very good. I think Greg Gutfeld is really funny sometimes. It really takes a lot to make me laugh out loud.

@exitseven I think I copied it to VHS back in the `90's when I first saw it and, eventually, bought the full DVD set about 15 years ago. I usually start off with Danger Man, watch all of those and then switch over to the Prisoner. I watch it almost once a year, usually around this time of year. But, I already saw it early this year and I'm doing all the Bond movies, now, just passed the halfway point. Sometimes, I'll start with The Avengers in the spring or late winter, then Danger Man and, by the time I get to The Prisoner, it's this time of year.

I do have a few episodes on my DVR. The series was on one of the rerun channels. I recorded the first one and I have the one with his double.

When it first ran in `67, I only got to see short clips of a couple of episodes. "Arrival", "Checkmate" and "The General". Every time it started getting weird, my parents would change the channel.
I'd heard of, "Secret Agent" but never bothered to watch it.

@exitseven It ran `67 to `68. Only 17 episodes. When it was over in early `68, they showed two new episodes of danger Man in its place, the only two that were in colour and they were basically 2 parts of the same story. However, as far as I know, we weren't allowed to see episode 14, "Living In Harmony". I forget what they showed in its place.

@exitseven That's the one. I think CBS objected to the violence in it, or something like that! REALLY? You've never heard of Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Wild Wild West and all those other shoot `em up westerns that've been on TV since the `50's? What about all those cop shows and "Combat"?

That guy that was in the last episode was in that one too. He played a real psycho. I think his name was Alexis Kanner.

@exitseven He was also in "The Girl Who Was Death". Episode 15. Yes, Alexis Kanner. I'm pretty sure that, aside from Leo McKern, Angelo Mustcat and Peter Swanwick, he was the only one to play in more than 2 episodes.

@exitseven Number 6 tries to get to her on the coaster but it's a different girl once he gets there and she's posing for a photog who is in the car in front of her. when 6 gets up to her, the photog (Alexis) stands up and starts threatening 6 verbally. Then he sees the real girl posing down on the ground next to the merry-go-round and he races over to get to her. Just before he gets to her, Alexis starts yelling at him again as if it's the same girl that was on the coaster but, this time, it's actually Death. Once 6 goes away, she rewards Al with a kiss.
