Excluding Gen 1 since everyone just loves to suck it off like a girl who wanted too grow up too fast and now has to pay rent with serious haste, what is you favorite era of cards and which set/expansion from that era? I, Da Biggest Bird, am going to have to say so far, Sword and Shield is my favorite era and my favorite expansion from it is Silver Tempest. It’s basically everything I could ask for in Pokémon cards (COUGH besides the return of Mega Evolution COUGH). It has many great Pokémon, the artwork is fantastic, and it has a lot of Waifus included. I pulled the Braixen Art rare two weeks ago from my Silver Tempest Elite Trainer Box which had Serena in it and it is just- *Zarbon moan*. Beautiful, I feel like the box was teasing me a bit since the Serena trainer full art is one of my main chase cards from this set but I dont know, I am still joyful with that, plus, I got some Last Pack Power. The Lugia V was another one of my main chase cards and it was in that final pack. Incredible card, like, INCREDIBLE.

I re-read this entire post in my head in pre-transformation zarbon's voice, and now I just see zarbon pokemon trainer memes in my head.
I only ever collected gen one, but as an artist I've looked at art and card formats from later sets online and in stores, and these really stuck out to me as my favorite set style. If I ever started collecting again, I'd start with any that are gold with vibrant colored art like this.
What in tarnation, did you get those from Etsy or something? There are Secret Rares of those Pokémon from Brilliant Stars but they don’t look like that. I can tell from the style they must be fan made. If you’re looking for real cards I recommend Walmart, they are the real deal for real. I order from them all the time and have never gotten fake cards or anything.
At least those ones look high quality though. I made a mistake once and got fake cards. A whole $30 gone to waste, I could have gotten a new Roaring Moon version Paradox Rift ETB, my Walmart FINALLY restocked on Pokémon cards.
I've seen the ones at walmart too, they have good art on them as well.
A shame if these aren't legit though, gamefreak needs to get on that shit.
I remember at burger king I had gotten gold plated metal pokemon cards (or coins 🤔 i can't remember) inside pokeballs. So I suspected these might be some kind of limited edition cards if not in a normal set.
