Are pokemon eaten in the pokemon universe?

Like, do humans eat pokemon like humans eat animals?

Most likely yes.

There are some instances where people are seen eating meat, and there are only humans and pokemon living in the pokemon universe. So that leaves only 3 options.

1) people are eating pokemon meat
2) people are eating human meat
3) its not meat but tofu or seitan in the shape of meat like the beyond burger.

That's not true there are normal animals that exist. In X and Y there is legit a fish restaurant, and I don't know why but one of main characters wore a cow outfit before so cows clearly exist.

The cow costume is probably a miltank costume and the fish restaurant applies to “fish” pokemon

Nope it's a normal cow. And nope we've seen normal fish ash looks at them in a tank, you can also just fish in the games. We've also seen toys of giraffes and some scene which there at a festival and there is a normal dog. It's pretty safe to say Pokemon has normal animals it's just they aren't the focus of the Pokémon so why would they include them everywhere.

Granted fishing in the games fetches for Pokémon. But calling it fishing wouldn't make much sense if the world just see's them as water type Pokémon. They resemble qualities like normal fish hence why they have that name.

They might but there is normal animals too. I mean they find it okay to capture and fight with pokemon so don't see why eating would be bad but there is normal animals.

Also I imagine a lot of pokemon are actually just deadly to eat but maybe they got ways around it.
