Reagan famously pushed for the war on drugs by declaring that reality shouldn't be so bleak that people need a way to cope with it. This would only make sense if there was a genuine effort to make reality less bleak. But there wasn't and the war on drugs went on anyway, making life substantially more bleak for quite a few people - because it was always ever a bad faith excuse to redirect tax money to republican dodnors anyway.
What I'm saying is, getting fussy about not being able to use the word without insisting we first do something about the racism it facilitates is bad faith. You just want to say the word. You don't care about society progressing to the point where it would be fine to say it. You just want to say it..
the exact opposite PROGRESS would be true free speech. more important than the stuff wrongly called racism.

It's not "against free speech" to dismiss you as brainwashed. You're free to say whatever your thought leaders tell you to, it doesn't mean any of it is accurate.
