I guess it used to be EDM. I don't workout that hard at all anymore. Or a lot now tbh.

My workouts are behind the drums so, hard rock. I put together a tape of stuff that I loved to play back in the late `70's. Every so often, if I felt like having a bash, I'd go up to my room, put on that tape and play along with those songs and, when the tape was over, I was so wound up, I played by myself for at least another 20:00 to 30:00.
It's been decades since I've done it so, I don't recall all the songs or the running order but it was something like this:
I know the first and last song. First was "You Drive Me Nervous" by Alice Cooper
There was also, "Satisfaction (I Can' Get Me No)" by Devo, "Coronation" by Tin Huey, "Passage To Bangkok" by Rush, "Slow Down" by Crow, I think their song, "Cottage Cheese" was also on it, "Nice & Sleazy" and "In The Shadows" by The Stranglers, and, at the end was, "Stormy Monday" by The McCoys.Tbh whatever I'm in the mood for. One day it's soft piano, another day it's dramatic score music, scream rap, electronic house music, idm, etc. Today I worked out to a video essay on YouTube though.
I really don't listen to music when I workout.. It's usually some long wind YouTube video.. Every now and again if I want some extra motivation, I might listen to some Old hard rock like Metallica, Slayer, or Alice in Chains..
I workout to a ton... edm, classical, metal, indie/folk... doesn't really matter to me. I just listen to whatever I'm feeling at the moment.
I can listen to different genres in general, I'm not just someone that likes only one but the main ones I hover over is rap/hip hop and reggaeton.
