My friends and I loved CCR as soon as they released their first album in 1968 when I was 14. It was totally unique. My mom loved them, too. LOL
John Fogarty is a great song writer and has one of the most amazing voices ever.

A band that I was in from about 2012 to 2020 played Fortunate Son and Who'll Stop the Rain on our song list. I was the guitarist and lead vocalist.

I always thought he was from Louisiana or something because of his sound and lyrics. I was surprised to learn that he was from Berkeley, Ca. LOL

OMG yes, and I was able to see John Fogerty and family (his sons have taken over the roles once filled by Stu, Cosmo and his late brother) play at the local casino last May. And he can still play flawlessly and hit the high notes. My only quibble was his attempt to dye his hair and still dress like he did 50 odd years ago. It's OK to be old at 78, John! Anyway, my personal theme song: "Mortgage on my home... mortgage on my life..."

YES. they are awesome. I had tix to see John Fogarty and I could not go so I gave them to my son. He told me that I missed a great show.

Yep. Saw Creedence Clearwater Revisted a few years ago, which basically was CCR without the Fogerty's - Tom died years ago, John is at odds with the others. Kind of like the Stones without Mick and Keith. Their vocalist was pretty good.

Love CCR, although I've only heard a couple of songs. Love that old 1960s blues rock sound. Now that I think about it, my big brother has a copy of Cosmo's Factory on vinyl, as was the style at the time.
