I feel that when I was around 10 years old, I was safe, no enemies, my abusive parents were temporarily nice to me for a full 12 months, I got to go on my first leisure vacation, and back then, nobody was actually bad. There was a guy that used to make fun of me on the playground but when I was sick he looked upset and asked me if I was okey. Back then, if somebody did not like you, it meant they wanted to steal your chocolate bar or criticize the colour of your shoes. Now it could mean they want to break into your home and rob you which could endanger your life or hard earned possessions.
I am currently 24 years old and got diagnosed with a neurological condition at the age of 17. My doctors told me they believe I have probably had it for many years without realising it and probably caught it around the age of 10. I got diagnosed with anxiety and depression at age 13 which was probably a mis diagnosed. I would like to go back in time and start my treatment at the age of 10 and tell myself what the doctors told me when I was 17.
Thanks for the best answer.
I just feel like I likely would have had better mental health and my teenage years would have been better if I actually knew about the neurological disease and I wish I got treated earlier. The believe I caught it around 10 but I only got properly diagnosed at 17.
You probably might not care much about this but the neurological condition is called Hashimoto's encephalopathy
Thank you for sharing your story and raising awareness. Your strength and wisdom are admirable. Your experience will undoubtedly support others, reassuring them that they are not alone. Wishing you happiness today and forever.
Thanks and merry Christmas
Merry Christmas!
I'd go back to 1848 in California and grab up tons of gold laying on the ground before everyone else got there.
I wouldn't want to live in that era though. So if it was permanent, I'd probably go to the 90s.
Everyone on is here saying the 60s or 70s. I lived through that. That's the last era I would want to go to. Been there done that, and there is no way I'd want to do it again.
Finally a person that lived through the 60s and 70s. I’m curious- what did you dislike about those eras? & it’s smart to go back to a time that would be beneficial in the long run. I’d do the same.
So many people fucked themselves up REALLY bad on drugs. It was pure hell for a lot of people. A lot didn't live through it. Most of the rest of us were lucky we are still alive. So many of the ones who lived were totally fucked up mentally. They ended up in psyche wards. Some of them screwed themselves up permanently and never did get their act together.
It wasn't even always adults. It became so prevalent than even kids were doing it. I remember more than one party when somebody's little 12-13 year old brother was there; eating Qualudes or snorting PCP, and drinking whiskey with it. They'd stagger and pass out on the floor, and people would just laugh.
I remember two kids in their early teens dying from drugs. At that age it was usually "cheap highs", not real drugs, because that's all they could afford. It killed them.
It was a time that was a hell of a lot of fun - but at the same time it was hell. It's not a time that most people who lived through it would repeat.
I think that some 7200 years earlier would be ok.
I'd establish a small kingdom for myself, with some cool citizens - predominantly women.
Then I'll have a comfy palace built.
What I will NOT do: washing some car on Saturday morning, and mowing the lawn on Saturday afternoon.
Will I return? ... Only over my dead body, and then as a vampire or as a poltergeist.

I’d love to live the 90s all over again. I’d also be on some Back To The Future II shit, just betting on sports events I already know the outcomes of, haha
Awe, yeah. I miss the 90s almost everyday. & you sly dog lmao. That’s a great idea.
I gotta get them small-face $💯s!!!
I would go beck to the 70s/ I would go to Woodstock and invent something calle the internet.
See, now we’re talking. Go back and invent everything. Hell yeah.
Lmao. Sums it up @WhiteSteve
Woodstock was '69. The early Internet was I think early to mid 60s.
The `60's. I'd scoop up all the great psych records I missed the first time around, mostly because I never knew they existed until about 20 years ago!
60s was a great era. Psych records? Wym?
Oh, you like the vintage records. That’s a neat interest.
I love psych! It's WAY more interesting than anything that's come out over the last 20-some years!
I had two of those albums on vinyl. In Search of a Lost Chord, and Mr Fantasy. Now I have Mr Fantasy on CD. I have some other Moody Blues on CD, but not Chord. Dear Mister Fantasy is one of my favorite songs.
@WindAtMyBack I bought the original Traffic album, used, for a quarter back in `84 and it was pretty beat up. About 15 years later, I found it on CD but it had the American mono version and the British stereo version, booth on the same CD. I like the British version MUCH better!! My original stereo version is different from the mono version! There were very short snippets of some quiet jazzy song between every other song on the stereo version that aren't there on the mono!
I wish I was around in the late 60s and early 70s.
Any particular reason for that point in time? Besides the fact that it’s literally the best era to go back to (especially in terms of inventions). Seems like everything that makes money today was invented in the 70s.
July 2010 when Bitcoin was under $0.01. Buy a million using a corporation in a state that does not have an income tax, then come back and sell. Currently would be worth over $40Billion. After Uncle Sam extracts his portion under threat of violence, still would be super wealthy.
Problem here is if you bought a million shares when it was that cheap you'll own half the company, and you would have had to be involved. Would you have made it the same success as whoever did? And the action of buying those shares would affect the market, no way of knowing repercussions good or bad
I would be torn between the roaring twenties my favourite period of design. And the swinging sixties, free love music festivals etc
Oh, yes. The roaring 20s. I’d probably join Al Capone. Haha. Me in the 60s? I’m inventing Microsoft before Bill does. Lmao.
Lmao not you looking for LSD & Qualuudes in the 60s.
I have to agree. After watching Peaky Blinders, I’ve been wanting to be Polly Gray in the 20s for months.
Right? Tommy is too handsome. Alfie’s personality beats Tommy’s looks though, haha.
I would go back in 2019 and hug my grandpa a lot.
I wouldn't. If I believe the butterfly effect, any small change to timeliness could affect the future and I'd not want to affect the anything with my kids.
yeh a Spanish movie came out. a lady warned a kid he will die, saved his life, but in her time was single again no family, lost her daughter never born! drama!
My childhood. No more taxes.
The day before I met my ex-wife
Probably the 60's
I would like to live in the 1950s.
2010’s!!!
I miss the 2010s. little Wayne at 7AM on the way to work. Haha.
Lil’* I swear this phone’s autocorrect has cost me jobs and friendships.
