I prefer the plot to these types of movies more than the plot to North American movies but I don't have the patience or self control to watch a movie where I have to stare at sub titles the entire time to understand the meaning. I might watch it if it is part of some sort of class I'm taking or some sort of research or job I'm doing but I won't do it for pleasure. I find it depersonalizes the characters in the movie, because you don't get a first hand auditory engagement with the words they speak and I lose interest in any form of media that is not personally meaningful to me.

One of my favorite shows is a K-Drama.. A couple actually.. The ones I've seen are usually very well acted, and the production is good.. They don't have all the vulgarity of Western media.. Although some are just as violent..

I like K-Dramas, it's just as good as watching anime. My first K-drama was "Boys Over Flowers."

The Korean dramas are nothing but a soap opera similar to those that we used to have back in the 50s 60s and 70s. I'm not fond of watching something that I don't understand the language even though there are subtitles.

I like the Korean music. I never got into the dramas. I speak Korean. It's nice a language.
