Why were Chowder and Flapjack cancelled by Cartoon Network, but other shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show were kept on for much longer, even though the former two were more popular than the latter two at their peak popularity?

I remember when all these shows used to air on TV Cartoon Network back in the days. For chowder and flapjack, I grew up watching this show coming home from school back in the late 2000s and were great shows for it’s time for the setting, humor, and uniqueness with it despite its quirks. I most definitely when both adventure time and regular show came out as new shows back in the early 2010s and used to watch them to until it was the end of those shows.

Flapjack and Chowder were what saved Cartoon Network, not Adventure Time

Whenever I watch videos involving Cartoon Network, YouTubers usually talks about how Adventure started the new golden age of cartoons again. I like all of the shows mentioned in the title above, but I feel like Chowder and Flapjack are not appreciated enough for what they did at the time.

I remember well when both of these shows aired; it was a time with all the CN Real bullshit, out of Jimmy's head, etc. Nobody really talked about Cartoon Network anymore. When Flapjack and Chowder aired, these were the two shows that stuck out because they were actual cartoons with decent writing. People would watch them at school and watch them every week, just like how the Cartoon Network used to be. They were the two main shows that got CN to look into other projects again to go back to their roots. Chowder was a funny show. Flapjack I see hate from here and there, but it's my favorite of the three. I love the setting and the animation; it's a memorable and creative show that was held back by not taking full advantage of the premise.
