Yes, classical music is my favorite type of music with emphasis on composers like Mozart, Beethoven, Franz von Suppé and Vivaldi and, to a lesser extend to Bach, Liszt, Chopin, Tchaikovsky or Paganini.

I have much more difficult times with more contemporary composers such as some of the later French composers such as Bizet or Debussy. Don't get me wrong, there are the one or the other pieces that I still like.

I do like some of the lesser known composers such as Joseph Boulogne, Chevalier de Saint-George, Jakob Pazeller and a few others.

Those composer composed real, harmonic music and not modern "boom boom boom" type of cacophony.

I agree with your list 100%. I actually told one of my friends nieces not to listen to Debussy. I can't stand his music! But I've only listened to one song by Paganini and that was devils trill sonata. I actually liked it. And my father (step-father, but I call him dad. He raised all my life.) introduced me to mozart. I enjoy Camille saint saens Dance Macabre, I didn't see you include him. And what are your thoughts about Dvorak. I personally love symph 9. mvmt 4.

@StudyingAuthor No, I did not forget Dvorak. I forgot to mention him, otherwise I would need a big encyclopedia to name all the pieces I like. Talking about the 4th. movement of the 9th. symphony, the opening part reminds me of the movie Jaws and it makes me shiver instantly.

Saint-Saens is an okay composer for me and I only like a few pieces like the Carnival of the Animals for example. I like the Campanella very much by Paganini. There are so many such beautiful pieces of music to choose from in the classical repertoire.

I just finished a binge watching 2 series of programs of some kids playing classical pieces, some of which I never even heard of.

If you are interested, you can find them on Youtube. The first one is called "Virtuosos". It aired between 2018 and 2023 I believe and it is a competition of teenagers from 5 nations held in Budapest, Hungary. The 2nd. one is similar but from France and is called "Prodiges".

Classical is my favorite genre!

I used to be metalhead, but transferred over this way. I still enjoy rock though, I listen to No doubt mostly. I like Dies Irae, anything by tchaikovsky, and Vivaldi the four seasons. I don't like the less hype songs unfortunately (I was metalhead.) but I do listen to some music from the romantic era. Mainly as I'm writing my book.

@BarryLiverstone joey jordison. The drummer from slipknot. But I left that metalhead version of me behind. But that is the inspiration.
