Has anyone seen the program "The Secrets of Playboy"? On the Vice channel?

What'd you think of it. I personally have find it pretty hilarious. Because you have all these former playmates coming out of the woodwork to besmirch Hugh Hefner's name. Now I'm not defending Hugh. He was entrepreneur. A sleazy entrepreneur, but a entrepreneur nonetheless. He's fair game to be smeared. But it makes me laugh that all these whores talk about all the different ways they were used and exploited. But it's rather convenient now that the checks aren't coming anymore.

What do you say? Have you seen it?

I haven't seen it. Sounds interesting. I'll have to see if I can find it.

I had a Playboy subscription during the 70s, from the time I was 16. I always did think Heffner was kind of creepy with his pipe, pajamas and smoking jacket. He was 5'9" and not very good looking when he was older. He was born in 1926.

In my early 20s, a friend's dad entered his Pantera in the Concourse d'Elegance car show in Newport Beach, Ca. My friend and I went, and were excited about that fact that there were supposed to be some real live Playboy bunnies.

When we went over to see them, they were standing in an area surrounded by people. I was immediately struck by how much makeup they were wearing and how uncomfortable those outfits looked. The outfits looks as stiff as armor. I also got the impression that the girls felt like barnyard animals on display for men to gawk at. Yeah, I was one of the gawkers. But I have to say that, at the time, I was a bit let down. All three of the girls were cute, but not as dazzling as I had imagined. I think it was because of the outfits and the makeup.

Speaking of "The Secrets of Playboy", I remember when Gloria Steinem became an undercover Playboy bunny for a month and published an expose'. She later wrote a book about it and that was made into a movie starring Kirstie Alley in 1980.

haven't seen. I heard he had secret passage ways to sneak into rooms. Hugh had a degree in womens studies... he understood the chick brain and took advantage of that.

not a shock. women love drama including creating it.

Well certainly the type of woman who undresses for a spread in a magazine.
I like this program because it seems to be approaching it from all angles. There's not a clear-cut narrative. And I find what I didn't know about Hugh fascinating. I still think he was a degenerate. But a fascinating degenerate.😆
