Why tv commercials are so afraid of showing average women? They only show either skinny or fat but no average?

I see average women depicted in commercials, especially for things like cleaning supplies or prescription medication. But my guess is that when they hire an actress, it’s either expected that most actresses or skinny or skinny actresses over represent a more “average” body. We are also in a very skinny-centric society still, so maybe they think it will appeal to most people’s expectations.

because it's both for profit. i dont think i need to explain why they put thin women it in. for the fat ones it's to ride the whole body positivity woke thing. they dont get anything by putting average girls, since it's not as much of a shock statement as putting fat girls and it's not as attractive to society as thin girls
