There are some men and women who will growl about mixing the races. I realize some of these movies romanticize what others hold as the "brutal truth" of the colonial and slavery periods. But when you get down to the every day human level, relationships were quite different than CRT history revisionists believe. I have no doubt that Sally Hemmings was loved by Thomas Jefferson. Somehow, you just know it. She may have posed as a servant but she was actually the love of his life. But he had to conceal it.

When you are in love like that, Social Conventions are suspended. Look at Moneypenny with Bond in Skyfall. Not just the characters. The actors. It's there and you can feel it. Look at her eyes in the Shaving scene. She is nurturing him. Look at Sofia (Halle Berry) and John Wick in Parabellum. There's romantic and sexual tension there even if the High Table wants her to kill him. I think it was there on the set in both cases.

I will look at Belle even if only to feel that... again.

No, I'm not interested in this type of movies or shows, like Bridgerton, Pride& Prejudice, or Downton Abbey.. Not only they're quite boring, but also romanticize and portray the British colonialism and imperialism in a positive light.
