What are the basics of a Romance Story?

I've only seen a few Romance Movies like the Titanic. Should I familiarize myself with them? What's your fav romance story?

Boy meets girl, they fall in love, girl accuses boy of something he never did and gives him no chance to explain. Boy leaves girl. Boy spends the rest of his life with his bet girlfriend: his right hand.
Another one: boy meets girl, they fall madly in love, boy asks girl to marry him. Girl says yes. Boy tells friends. Girl hears boy tell friends and says she never said, "yes"! After 10 years together, girl cheats on boy then drops new boyfriend a year later.

Yea I know. I think its not reality though. Usually guys who overpersue get ghosted and rejected by seeking approval. I'm trying to find out why girls like romance stories, cuz it doesn't seem too acurate.

Say what you will. It’s a two hour movie with 21 minutes of training and fighting footage. The entire rest of the flick is Rocky courting Adrian. At the end, he doesn’t even care that he lost the fight because he got the girl.
