It's been interesting to observe the reactions to the AI posters recently added to GaG.

It started off as curiosity then kind of developed into mocking and now there's a sort of a downright anger directed towards these AI posters.

And in some cases they're just being ignored.

I think that provides an interesting glimpse into some of the future of AI and how it will be viewed by the public.

And it could be a hindrance to its widespread adoption.

if it is a good one... I would not be able to tell the difference

same as those wine tasting pranks... in which they bring a lot of snobby people who get so excited about cheap wine from the corner store but they're told it is the best and expensive AF, lol

I can't imagine why I'd ever want or need to when AI art is all over the internet already.

Is it A. I.'s art or is it your art drawn with an A. I. tool at your command and description?

That is the real question, is AI a tool or a person? Indeed given current Art models are really just training of English definitions combined with pure random chance.
It was in fact your command that was the instigating and unique factor

One can say the same about employee and employer relationship in that your work for your employer is regarded as your employer's work for they paid you the employee to do it giving you direction.

The creativity you added to that work (being a factor of your experience and some randomness) is a service.
But what you asked for on your own for yourself is yours.

I don’t really know what that is even after googling, but I’ve been to the 2 different ARTE MUSEUMS in Korea and they are absolutely amazing. I guess they only have 1 location in the U. S, but if you’re talking about museums like those, I think they’re beautiful. & I think everyone should visit at least once.

When Google bought Deep Minds from the UK, they hooked their computer up with a game like Pac Man.

Programming is a thing of the past, so they just told the computer to make the score go up. When the scientists returned in the morning, the machine had the highest score in history. I find that fascinating, because of the possibilities. But you would have to pay me to go see AI art.

Maybe, but in reality anytime we make anything far easier (less costly in money & time) we tend to get more of it or want more of everything else using the extra resources.

It is entirely possible in a few years AI may be some competent and skilled enough to do such jobs.

But then your in a situation where every business is building machines to do all their IT work and now find themselfs competing with other business doing the same. At which point who wins or loses very much depends on who asked the right questions and is best utilizing their resources.

Not unlike search optimization of in past decades, an AI can help you with that if you have the information to ask.

It is indeed that information that then becomes the market commodity which people will be working to protect more and more. Thus requiring more and more people to setup custom AI's to advantage them alone with such private information. Which in reality is just anther expression of what most business are already. Their information.

So guess who is going to set and manage those proprietary AI's? Who is going to know to ask the right question?

No I think the best thing about art is seeing how creative and talented the artist is. Feeling the emotions that the painting gives. AI art just wouldn't feel genuine.

ai art also rips off actual artists and just steals their work then "recreates" it poorly.

I’ve been to a virtual one, was pretty good. Interviews and talks with the artists (loose term) and demonstration of scripts used.

Yeah, I'd love to go to an AI exhibition! One caveat though, stleast 51% of the training data must be hand crafted by the artist

I think there are about 5 of them.
I used AI to write this poem. It took all of 2 seconds

"In the realm where pixels play,
There dwells a hero, so they say.
      Avatar Tom, with courage bold,
In digital lands, his story's told.

With every keystroke, he takes flight,
In worlds where day blends into night.
      His avatar, a beacon bright,
Guiding souls through the digital plight.

Through forests dense and oceans deep,
      Avatar Tom does boldly creep.
With sword in hand and heart aflame,
He fights for honor, he fights for fame.

In every quest, in every trial,
He faces foes with a fearless smile.
His spirit strong, his will unbound,
In virtual realms, his legend's found.

But beyond the screen, beyond the code,
Tom's essence shines, a humble ode.
For in the heart of every tale,
Lies a truth that will never fail.

Though avatars may come and go,
The spirit within continues to grow.
And in the end, when screens fade to black,
It's the bonds we've formed that we'll never lack.

So here's to Avatar Tom, so brave and true,
In cyberspace, he'll see it through.
For in every quest, in every line,
      His legacy shines, forever divine."

In a world where the Na'vi do roam,
Lived a warrior named Avatar Tom.
With his bow and his might,
      He’d soar through the night,
      In Pandora, his true-hearted home.
