Do you remember your dreams and are you always the main character?

Question

I pretty much always have big dreams and for the most part there's a theme, I'm in a fantasy world with some sort of plot going on and there's some sort of a b story sub-romance plot going on lol

It's always surreal to wake up from.

OMG! I swear to God, I have the exact same type of dreams! I hear people saying that humans dream in black-and-white ¯\_(ッ)_/¯ I'm like "oh hell no!" My dreams are in color. I can feel things, I can smell things, and I experience it as if it were real! When I was about five years old, I remember wondering, which one was the real world and which one was the dreamworld, because I couldn't tell the difference! Eventually, I realized which was the real world, because in one world, everything was different and constantly changing all the time, but in the other world, I always woke up and went to school in the mornings. So that was the real world!

But no, my dreams, like yours, are sometimes like adventure movies, sometimes they are romance, sometimes their action/adventure, and unfortunately, sometimes they are horror movies! (although not that often).

But yes, I remember my dreams, perfectly! Sometimes I'll wake up in the middle of the night to pee, and when I go back to sleep to dream, literally keeps on going from the spot I left off when I woke up. It's literally like hitting pause to go pee and then getting back to bed and hitting play! Because of my dreams, for me, going to bed is one of my favorite activities. Well… Obviously the dreams are great, but what comes BEFORE I go to sleep is usual a lot more fun! And lucky for me I have a fiancé that doesn't mind being woken up at 3 AM.

I have never met nor spoken to anyone who dreams in a way that is similar to me! This is SO crazy that somebody else out there dreams and similar way to myself.

Not always remember, I'm the main character most of the time
and when I'm not, It happened I was in someone else's body, I also was in my grandma funeral, sitting next to my dad tho I wasn't even born when she died, he was like 13 , and sometimes I'm watching myself living my life, like the third person.

I mean, it's my dream so I'll usually be there in first person. Sometimes I'll have a third person view of myself though.
