Do you remember your dreams when you wake up?

I often experience that I have dreamt something but when I wake up and a few minutes have passed I no longer remember my dream.
I know that I have dreamt something but I can’t remember what the dream was about.
Do you retain the memory of your dream when you wake up?

For me it's a 50/50 when it comes to remembering my dreams. I used to love lucid dreaming and did it very often but I haven't been doing that for a long time and it's made remembering my dreams go down to a 50% of the time 😂

It just strike me as odd that some people can remember them and others can’t. And sometimes I remember what I felt during the dream and that I thought it was a beautiful dream. It then annoys me that I can’t remember them when I wake up but I can remember that it was a great dream.

Because I can remember that I thought it was a good dream and that I had some good ideas in the dream. But then they’re gone as soon as I wake up. And when I talk to others they usually never experience the same. Wouldn’t that frustrate you too?

Yes, often. I have too good of a memory, I remember totally unnecessary things from years ago.

I can relate to that! I know if it was an uncomfortable dream I dreamt because I remember the feeling of it. The feeling stays when I wake up.

I don’t think that it is specific dreams I want to remember. I’ve just heard and I believe that dreams are our subconscious trying to tell us something. And I think that it would be interesting and useful to know what these dreams meant and what our mind tried to tell us
