Don't know, don't care what others think. If it is something that intrigues me I'll watch it, whether it's anime - I like Death Note, One Punch Man, and Attack on Titan and have the full series of Speed Racer and Kimba - or a silent film or a foreign film with subtitles or a kids' film or whatever.

Isn't it funny how people often misjudge others based on what they watch?🌸 There's a misconception that anime is just for kids, probably because many associate it with cartoons, which are generally seen as children's entertainment in Western cultures. But anime is a vast and rich medium that covers all genres, from deep psychological thrillers to heartfelt romances. I've watched anime that explore complex themes, like "Death Note" and "Attack on Titan," which are definitely not for kids!
Anime also has various genres made specifically for adults, like seinen and josei. These shows often delve into mature themes and have intricate storylines and character developments that kids wouldn't necessarily grasp. So, if you come across someone who thinks anime is just kid stuff, maybe introduce them to some of these more mature titles. It'll blow their mind! 🌟00 Reply

Because they think certain things are inherently childish, and this is one of them. This is why you have (or at least HAD) parents who show their children Watership Down, because it's a cute cartoon movie about bunnies.
See? Look at the cute little rabbits. They're-
Yikes! What happened there? Well, I guess that one got hurt, and-

Very close minded people, usually in the older generation. There are many adult and mature concepts in anime. Just because something is animated doesn't mean it's childish.
I find it a bigger waste of time to be mindlessly watching sports and getting excited over people you don't know play a game over and over. Honestly just ignore the plebs.10 Reply - 2 mo
Its because its animation and the characters are designed to look cutsy and evoke innocence.
But holy hell, Anime is not always for kids. There are some abstract and deep themes/messages as well as some of the most brutal violence I've ever seen in media.10 Reply Not just anime, but animation in general is seen like it's just for kids. People are ignorant that lack taste and culture. Most don't like to experience new things since we're creatures of habit. They just jump on the bandwagon of mob mentality to parrot shit they've heard without experiencing it.
10 ReplyNot really. Anime is very popular among many adults as well.

Never understood this "culture". Anime has weird and impossible-to-follow stories and just feels constantly over-the-top. Sorry, that was a diss but it's my honest opinion.
