Music isn't the biggest part of my life as it is for others.

It's funny because many people would call me musically talented (I can play piano and other instruments by ear and remember melodies pretty well after a single time and whistle them almost note for note).

When I go for nature walks, I find I'm more in my own thoughts when I'm not listening to music. When I have music on, I tend to be put into whatever mood it puts me in. If it's rock/metal I feel a little angry/alone emotions come out. If it's classical, I tend to envision scenarios being played out in my head almost as if I'm watching a movie. If it's indie/folk, I tend to be put in a relaxed happy mode. That's why for many years now, indie/folk seems to be my most listened to music.

I've been rockin' out to Santana and Boston.
I also listen to songs from the 60's by Bobbie Martin "For the Love of Him" and Sandy Posie's song "I will follow him" and "Single Girl".
These are the songs that I grew up listening to and one's where men weren't the enemy but very much loved.
