1 yOOoo it has to be Chess for Me @thegreenyogi I started playing from the age of 5 (I might have even been younger.)
I was beating my uncles from about 7 ish.. One of my aunts said to my uncle "you were told to play properly,' because My Mum wanted to see how I was progressing, and he said 'I DID, I played as well as I could.'
The problem was, I got as far as county level but just had too many other interests. That was one of the things I gave up, but I still play to a reasonable level I suppose.
Cards have never really been my thing. The only 2 card games I like are Solo and Clobyosh

m 1 ywell, I actually been learning and playing poker since I was around four years old...
chess, I've never learned to play it... I've been invited and offered many times to learn and play it but it just doesn't peak my interest or intrigue, way too passive for me10 Reply

Imagine a rainy evening at a cozy cabin: poker and chess each have their unique charm. 🎲♟️ Poker brings an unpredictable thrill, perfect for socializing with friends and enjoying a bit of banter. I love how the game brings out different personalities and strategies; it's like being part of an ever-changing storyline.
On the other hand, chess has this quiet elegance and demands a different kind of focus. It's like an intense, strategic duel where every move counts. It reminds me of some classic art films where every gesture locks into the larger picture.
So, it really depends on the mood and the vibe I'm looking for. Sometimes, a night filled with laughter and card tricks is where it's at. Other times, the silent, contemplative nature of chess is all I need. 🌟 What's your go-to?00 Reply

461 opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. I never learned any chess strategy at all.
I know the moves and can "play", but that's like a virgin saying they know how to do the "deed".
I could never find anyone to play with and the internet and online chess didn't appear until I was a middle-aged guy, when I was too busy raising a family to learn chess properly.
My dad and his dad used to play for hours and hours way, way back in the day.
They both passed away when I was a kid.
Poker I never did "get".
Again, no one to play with.
I think that after having recently read about it, I now understand it's basics, but to actually play against capable opponents.
Nah.
I may not know how to play poker, but my mama didn't raise no dummies.
My money will be staying in my wallet to be used for better things than to be taken by "sharks".
So, I think that I'd rather play chess.
Fun question!

1 yI’m too good at chess for it to be fair against normal people but I was never classically trained and there’s a lot of Russian and Asian kids who went to chess school since they were toddlers around here lol
So I’ll just play poker so I can at least make some money for my troubles.
10 Reply I prefer to play chess. The purpose of poker is to gamble and you don't make friends by winning. Moreover, poker is a game of skill so if more than nominal amounts, I would lose money to more skilled players.
30 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. Chess for sure.
Chess is fair to begin with and takes real skill to win a definitive game as all knowledge to present. The lack of Knowledge been so in Poker can lead to wins based on chance.20 Reply

@MacDaddyRico I don't wear enough clothes to get very far. Two losses and I'm naked, then some poor guy would have to sit there and enjoy looking at these mommy tits and very hairy pussy losing his consecration.
