Only with my winnings so to speak.😆 I had early success when I bought a scratch off that was a 10k winner. I know the odds of me ever doing that again are slim to none. But even if I buy one ticket for the 3 major lotteries for every drawing my state lottery commission has for the next 15 years I'll just break even (assuming I never win. And I have many times, always small amounts). To me it's worth the gamble. Because it should take me right up to retirement. I have a fully funded retirement so I'm good there. But this gives me a shot at hitting a jackpot on top of that. I don't expect to win obviously. But to me it's worth the few piddly dollars to buy the dream. In fact that's what I like to say. "I'm not buying a ticket I'm spending a dollar (or 2 dollars depending on the drawing) to the buy the dream I won't have to go to work tomorrow." To me that's worth the dollar.😆

In the state I live in a famous mobster who is related to a politician won the lottery. That was the end of it for me.

Well... I've bought some scratch offs a few times, but it's been ages since the last ones, so I don't think I'm addicted or anything. However, I still play a kind of lottery every day. The name is "What will go wrong today?" Sometimes, I even manage to get the "Nothing" outcome!
