The lottery tickets haven't played my tune, and given me a decent win, yet, still hoping.
Perhaps tomorrow will be my day 🤣

Silly me!
I once went to a swingers club by accident, but they wouldn't allow me entry.
I think on two counts, it was for older members, and I think I needed to take a partner.
Also once I heard there was a lottery night one time, not sure how it worked.
Not my scene, but the closest I ever came to a sexual lottery 🤣 - 5 mo
@thegreenyogi I thought this was a good sex question, but GAG's have moved your question from Sexuality.

i think i won $200 one time and i don't even buy them all that often. the cashing it in was more trouble than the $200 was worth, at one point they wanted me to drive to the lottery office in Sacramento (from LA)
these ones who win hundreds of millions of dollars really have their lives turned upside-down, it takes them several months to claim the prize because they've got to get attorneys and accountants and set up trusts and all kinds of things so they're not descended upon by thousands of people wanting the money. there's a guy here in Hollywood who won over a billion dollars and there are crowds of people outside of his gates every single day, he can't even come and go from his own house

5 moIntentionally? Probably twice quite a few years ago.
If it was twice, the one time I decided to buy a ticket and didn't win a thing. A couple times, my aunt bought tickets of my choosing and won nothing. The other intentional was when someone at work gave me a lottery ticket as a gift and it won me $2.00. I was gonna just keep it but, someone suggested I might win a lot more if I use that money to buy more tickets so, I did and won nothing.
One day, I was walking home from the mall and found a lottery ticket on the ground in the rain and decided to see if it was possibly a winner. It was a scratch-off. It got me $5.00!! Possibly my biggest lottery win, to date!
At least one other time I got one as a gift and it was also a 2 or 5 dollar winner.10 Reply
5 moI've played a couple times and never got more than one number 🤦 My uncle plays religiously, he's probably spent thousands of dollars through the years. He actually won two thousand dollars once and acted, well, like he won the lottery lol unfortunately, it probably cost him over twenty thousand dollars in tickets to win it.

5 moI bought one of our "Tri-state Megabucks" tickets today while I was in town and usually I keep winning a free ticket so I just keep playing. I think my longest "winning streak" was like 3 months straight. (That's like 12 free tickets) 😊

5 moFor the record, that’s not how you spell “won” lol
And if I have some spare cash and feel like playing I’ll buy a ticket. Worst case, I win nothing and I’ve made a small donation to the same scholarship fund for in-state students that also got me through college.10 ReplyI will never buy a lottery ticket. Only 50% of lottery ticket revenue is paid out to winners. Add to that the 25% of the winnings paid in taxes, and I would be paying $5 for a $2 ticket. Since the value of a lottery ticket is the probability of winning times the amount of winning after taxes, I refuse to trade my $5 for $2.

5 moNo I dont believe in luck I believe in skill if I did win the lottery I would want to feel like I deserved it. Spending my money on the idea of luck and the chance to make easy money when I make my money with my skills; that seems undeserving to me. I want to earn it! not just deserve it.
10 ReplyNope, I know the odds. It's the same reason you buy the chase Pokémon card you want not open endless packs trying to find it or why I stay to keeping sealed product for investment.
10 ReplyI used to buy a Megabucks ticket every week. I used the birthdates of my 3 kids. I won 100 bucks once. The brother of the State Speaker of the House won the big multimillion dollar prize so that was the end of it for me.

5 moNever. I don't believe in wasting my money and becoming part of their profit so that one random dude or dudette can live la vida loca because they have all the luck and I have none of it

u 5 moyes, I have tried some with family and friends and stuff like that... but I've never won anything... not even a refund, lmao
10 ReplyI have played a few times, but the lottery tickets were gifts. I have won twice. One small win, one decent chunk of money.

Anonymous(45 Plus)5 moThe most I’ve won on a lottery ticket like power ball is about 2$. Now as far as scratchers, the lost I won was $1500, which I just got the check today on the mail since it was from another state. In my state I’ve won $750.

5 moThe most I ever won was $50, but it was on a scratch-off. I have definitely lost more than that over the years.

5 moI do it once a year and that's it. Didn't win anything and do expect to and that's why I also not play regularly.

5 moSure albeit rarely when the UK millionaire maker is on extra chances (the normal 1 goes up to 10 usually)
l won about £5 last year on one and recall winning £12 maybe a decade ago now10 Reply
5 moI thought about it many times but then I didn't get one, cause I know the result xD it's gonna be me not winning anything or a tiny amount that doesn't matter.

3 moOnce it was a waste. And statistically yours in among the losers.
10 ReplyYes but because I was given the tickets. I won $30 on the last one.
10 ReplyYes. I play once every 10 years on my bday. I won $5 and spent $1, so that was nice.

5 moYes I have played quite a few times and won some but never anything huge.
10 ReplyI've won a prize in the lottery a few times, only won decently big once and invested it

u 5 moMy grandmother often did, over the years and decades. Sometimes she even won a few hundred bucks. 💶
10 ReplyI’ve never played because I’m not lucky enough to make easy money.

5 moNo. I have no desire to. The odds of winning aren't always that great.
10 ReplyI did one of those scratch off tickets once on a whim. Did not win anything. ☹️
10 ReplyI played the lottery right after I turned 18. I was given some cash and used it to play it. I won a bit more then I'd spent and that was enough.
10 ReplyNever bought a ticket... I prefer to go with a sure thing. Like buying a Big Mac combo.

5 moOnly at a grand opening of a hardware store in our area. The tickets were free and I won a garage door opener.
10 ReplyI did a few times and never won more than I lost.
10 ReplyI have only very rarely play the lottery. The odds are stacked against you.
10 ReplyYes but I've won the sum total of f**k all lol

@Sunrising I'm lucky in other areas, just not when gambling lol
5 moRegular or scratch off? I've won the most, like $80 on a scratch off, nothing on the regular lottery!
10 ReplyI think I might have won two dollars once. I don't buy lottery tickets routinely and in fact think that they're a terrible waste of money.
10 ReplyI have, my parents usually get them for Christmas for us, and no I've never won anything at all lol.
A donation to the state government!!10 Reply
5 moyes I've won a few times but to be honest the house always wins meaning the state
10 ReplyYes maybe about $15 or $20 or an extra ticket that’s about it
