I think reading keeps the mind alert, where as listening to an audio version takes me back to when I was a kid having the story read to me.. I would probably still fall asleep in 2 mins as well!

Depends on the book and topic. Some things can be listened to while rushing to work, some you have to read at a more leisurely pace.
