Do you like reading books? Do they relax you?

Books are my ultimate escape. They take me to another place. I also like writing novels. I've written 4 books as part of a series. Its a fantasy horror novel about a young man killed in a car crash, and he meets a spiritual guide who send him back to earth to learn how to face his fears, and meets four others, and the work as a team traveling through time, taking on history's challenges.

Reading and writing calms me. When reading them, it calms my nerves and lessens my anxiety. I have panic attacks and it's the one thing that calms me. I love mystery novels, and horror, and fantasy also.

I'm living in poverty in a town full of drug addicts and drug dealers, so reading takes me other places!

I love reading books. They're a great way to spend time, if you don't have plans.
It relaxes me quite a bit.
But I sometimes have a problem, if a book is really good. I can't stop reading it when I immerse myself in it. Book lovers know what I'm talking about.

I like to read books for the cultural functions and calming benefits it gives so I will usually pick books with unique and technologically relevant settings like a rain forest, or a billionaires work cabin, or a psychiatric facility or a historical archeology site. Don't really like to read books from ancient times unless it's Japan or China and parabolic in style. I also like books that are calming, like a lullaby so I'm not into drama or violence in a book, I don't pay money to be in a bad mood.

They do relax me a lot, it was raining yesterday, I was sitting in front of my windows, looking out at the field and rain and read some Ancient Chinese Wisdom book, it was nice.

I love reading books they massively relax me as I can easily picture what the characters look like the world and stuff like that. I just wish all books had more detail honestly. And that when they make them into films they didn't miss anything
