What do you think of OBAMA's PLAYLIST?

Former US President Barack Obama posted his Summer Playlist on X (formerly Twitter).

Looks to me to be an interesting mix of genres, from oldies to current day.

What do yo think of it?

Pretty good actually! He has a nice eclectic taste in genres, styles, and generations of music. I don’t like all of them, and many wouldn't be on my playlist, but if it were playing in someone’s car, I wouldn't be begging them to change it. But it’s probably not HIS playlist, it’s more than likely curated to make him appear middle of the road in his taste of music. Not too many people like Country, R&B, AND Classic rock… Just sayin’

A guy asked him questions about things on his list and Obama could not answer him cause this is a fake list his team made to make himself seem culturally relevant. He doesn’t actually listen to his list or read his list. His PR time writes the list and he gets credit for it.

I think I know two of these.

I have serious doubts that this is really what he listens to and more just endorsing his friends with free advertising while throwing in a couple oldies to look diverse and cultured. It's pretty well documented exactly who he listened to as president, and at least two high profile ones are notably absent from this list, almost certainly because they came out as Republicans.

It's a playlist curated by the music industry and Hollywood at great effort to make him look cool. No 63 year old man would ever listen to that music.
