Yes! I had the opportunity to watch my musical hero, Steve Wariner, perform. It was amazing. Suzy Bogguss also performed, which was an added treat, because at that time, I was a HUGE fan of hers! I'd like to get the chance again.

Johnny Cash died Sept.12,2003 at 71, my current age, four weeks before my mother, who passed away at age 86 Oct.9,2003, four months after his wife June Carter Cash, who died May 15,2003, and the day after John Ritter ("Married With Children," Eight Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter" and cowboy actor Tex Ritter's son), who died Sept.11,2003, six days before his 55th birthday.

Love to go because I'm a Country msic fan, but one question: Would they let a black man such as I enter the building?

Deford Bailey the grandson of slaves, was one of the founding members of the Opry in 1926, and one of the most popular performers there for many years, so i think you're good. his last performance there was in 1982
the next black Opry member was 67 years later, Charlie Pride in 1993, then Darius Rucker (Hootie) in 2012
only 3 in 100 years but there are more and more black country artists now so we'll be seeing more as Opry members

But likely not persona non grata black Country artist Jimmie Allen.

No but I have friends that have, they did a tour around the place and saw someone famous (can’t remember who tbh). Looks like a great time.
