Honestly WTF. Ruining my childhood memories with this crap. Haven't even heard of the chick before and just listened to her versions of In the End, What I've Done, Numb, and One Step Closer... absolutely atrocious. I'm genuinely apalled by this decision. Her voice is deeper than Chester's and just does not do Linkin Park any justice. Doesn't feel anywhere near as epic or as relatable as it used to. If I heard this back in the day, it would NOT have hit me as hard.

I haven't paid much attention to Linkin Park since high school. It was sad when Chester Bennington died though. And I will say that I'm glad to see them attempting a comeback (we'll see how it ultimately turns out).

As for the new singer? I'm guessing they went with her because she sounds angsty enough to fit their sound, but also distinct enough so as not to invite comparisons to Chester. It's a bold move for sure. I thought she sounded okay in the new song.

Interesting shift for sure but I’m excited. I’ve been a fan of Linkin Park for years. Even enjoyed Mike’s side venture with Fort Minor. W/o I’m sorta excited to see if they’ll make the same sorta music style with a female voice.

Kinda like when INXS found a new lead with JD Fortune but that didn’t exactly end well.
