The whole idea for the most part orbits around the idea of male gazing, they use models to promote products women would want to buy, most likely for women to attract men, or for men to buy for a woman, modeling industries is all appearance based and a model could've been stretched to not just appearance but it could've been talent based as well cause women could've used their talents to promote products as well with smart advertisement of them expressing talents will advertising the product, but i could be wrong, im just making an educated guess here.

Victoria's Secret doesn't target males. The models look that way because they're modeling underwear... which may look sexy to guys but for us it's just showing the product.
