They're overrated in the matter that they are the "perfect" women. They are extremely attractive, I won't deny that. I'd love to spend a night in bed with any one of them. However, I don't even wanna know what they put themselves through to be like they are. Also I much prefer a fit woman with some small muscles (not like veins or anything but muscles). Carrie underwoods legs I would use as a PERFECT example. on my opinion she is my perfect woman. I find her much more attractive than the VS models, and I'm sure her lifestyle is much healthier, she prob eats healthy but doesn't starve herself but instead eats and works out. I think most guys find that more attractive! But let's be real, we dont expect girls to be that status like you can expect us to be Channing Tatum. But just giving my input. :-) yes I think VS models are overrated but not but a whole lot. And for girls beat skinny girls any day of the week!
Just to add to this. As I said VS models are overrated but not by much. I would never ask or expect a girl to sacrifice what those girls sacrifice to a grove such status. I'd prefer a girl with healthy habits.
They're really overrated/unattractive to me too man!! Celebrities too. Society tells us to drool over ( Sofia Vergara, Kate Upton, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Katharine Mcphee) but I don't really find them attractive.

VS models are not your average or natural skinny girl. They are the result of constant exercising and dieting. Hardly any girls look like them but so many want to so badly. So get over yourself.

Those girls starve themselves a week before the fashion show. They dont drink any liquids two days before the show. It is not healthy and not normal. Yes, there are skinny girls where they can eat whatever they want and not gain weight, but they are no where near that skinny.
Also, as a female who does train both boxing and martial arts, I have never met another female that are anywhere near the size of victoria secret models. There are some that are very lean, but have muscles larger than the size of a victoria secret models arm.
I am not putting skinny girls down, it just has to be known. PEOPLE (not just girls) who eat and exercise are not that skinny.

I did see a commercial of Adriana Lima doing boxing. She may not do it professionally, but she still does it.
I have friends who are as thin as those models. And they eat A LOT. They have thigh gaps and everything. They don't even work out. They're just super model skinny.
My preferences are not the ideal. Maybe some people's ideals, but not everyone's. I know that and I never said my preferences are ideal, I did not even imply it.
I don't expect people to like the exact same thing as me, everyone likes something different. I just like putting my own opinion in my question to make it personal or to give people an example of an opinion.

lol, no I don't follow celebrities and models or anything. But I do a bit of design work for some extra cash and sometimes it includes photography and Photoshopping so I read a lot of articles about appearances and everything. -Just a note a 'thigh gap' is based on bone structure it doesn't have anything to do with weight- I know this because someone came to me wanting all the girls in their magazine to have a thigh gap, despite they were all beautiful and really slim anyways. When you deal with that and those kinds of people you just get a sour taste for the whole subject.

No offense, but thats a wild dream of a perfect world. Guys are naturally attracted to that because of their biology. Wide hips for child bearing, big boobs for whatever. Its because of evolution. So that the human race can survive. It's not mens fault. There has to be ideals, I mean, its actually science.
But if you're comfortable it the skin you're in and strut your stuff with confidence you'll be as attractive as any bib boobed, wide hipped girl. Trust me ;)
@Elzie_Sky I am well aware of that. It's based on the bone structure. I've seen larger women with thigh gaps (they weren't obese, but they weren't the "stick thin" types of girls who typically have them).
As I said, I think all these fucking ideals are just trash. Taller isn't better, skinny isn't better, thigh gaps/no thigh gaps isn't better. It's all subjective shit. There are ugly skinny girls. Ugly fat girls. Ugly tall girls, ugly short girls.

I never really followed VS until I got into college. So I don't really know the VS models. I really only know Tyra and the other one who married Orlando Bloom. I consider them skinny but they have to be because well they're models and that type of body is best to flaunt clothes on a runway. I don't think the VS models are voluptuous but they are beautiful girls who have bodily features that a lot of girls want (long legs, flat stomach, thin arms and etc). I guess they are overrated when they are promoted as women who have curves but otherwise I think they do deserve the attention they receive.

No I look at them like any other models, maybe it's different where im from but people here don't obsess over victoria secret models, their just like any other models no one really shames them or praise them. I think some people over think things because their job is to present clothes not shame people of their body weight.
I think they're attractive, but I also know that they're probably taking 10+ hours to "get ready" for these photoshoots.
The media photoshops the hell out of women anyway. So any guy with common sense knows that girls typically don't walk around looking like them all the time. We just have some delusional guys here and there who put no effort into their own bodies, yet think they should be dating a supermodel.

Probably a bit overrated, yeah. The thing about them is that they look good, for sure, but they all look so similar. From what I've seen, they're all thin and tall and have long hair, and it's just soooo boring. So, attractive? Yeah, I guess. Diverse? No.
