Who is your favorite musician that hardly anyone has heard of?

There are a few acts that have caught my attention in the last few years. Nobody ever heard of them and they probably will not be big stars. However I was a fan of Jimmy Buffet. Bob Seger and Bruce Springsteen before they became famous. I saw Jimmy Buffet in a big field and there were picnic tables set up or else you sat on the ground. I was right up front. I saw Bob Seger when he was Bob Seger and the System. Springsteen performed at a few local bars in town.

Stephen Fearing is a Canadian who is often compared to Richard Thompson. I wish that he performed in the states but someday I will go back to Nova Scotia and maybe see him perform.

There was once a time when it was Eminem, haha. He blew up on me, though. I like to think I had an eye for talent. Shout out to Emerson College radio’s underground hip hop show I listened to on weeknights as a teenager.

Nowadays…. probably this guy E-Burton, local rapper from Boston. Never blew up but I like him a lot…

Martin Barre was the guitarist for Jethro Tull from 1968-2011. His guitar work was iconic. He is still around and has his own band.

Mick Box was the guitarist for Uriah Heep. Some band members died and some eventually moved on. But I always liked Mick. I first saw Uriah Heep in 1970 and he blew me away. He still tours with a tribute band called Uriah Heep that plays the original band's music.

A couple of great bands that many people wouldn't know are Captain Beyond and Armageddon.

Todd Park Mohr. He's not unheard off, but he was not on my radar until more recently. I've been listening to Big Head Todd and the Monsters a lot the last few years. I like Park Mohr's guitar work and song writing.
