What show in your opinion starts off great but ends terribly?

For me, it's definitely Game of Thrones.

Honestly, almost every show I've seen had a very crappy final episode. It wouldn't necessarily say they all ended "badly", but it just seemed half-assed, anti-climatic and made no sense and just didn't seem believable.

But "Dexter" is one that my myself and many other fans were very disappointed with. And also, "Black Sails". The whole series only had 40 something episodes, and there's so much more they could have done with it, but what ruined it the most for me was, not only did they not make it clear whether the main character actually survived and was exiled or not. Assuming that's what happened, it made no sense to the storyline. But they turned him into a f*****. He was supposed to be this tough pirate, and the final scene of the series was him making out with another man. It ruined the entire series and character for me.

According to Jim. The eighth season was pretty mediocre since Courtney and Kimberly were barely in it.

Big Bang Theory. With everyone getting married and paired up it was becoming so domestic.

Superstore. Seasons 1 through 3 were excellent. 4 was good. 5 was barely watchable. I dont remember much about 6. I understand the creator of the show left after season 4, so that explains a lot.

Yeah superstore was really good in the beginning but slowly started to go downhill after a while.

The first one that comes to mind is Friends. All of their character traits became overexaggerated and dumb as it got to the end of the series.

I couldn't agree more! A lot of shows are like that. I watched Seinfeld reruns and thought Kramer and George were hilarious for the first few seasons but around season seven, their characters became intolerable.
