I agree. I got into it late and watched it all after the fact. Season 9 had Absolute Justice, the only episode with a two word title and my favorite, and seemed more even that most other seasons. Earlier seasons had a lot of filler episodes and the whole Lana and Clark theme bored me.

I watched a number of episodes from the first three seasons. I’m not sure why I didn’t continue but I’m not much into the superhero genre in general… it’s also possible German television stopped buying the series.

I was all grown up but I used to watch it. Like most shows it was good for the first couple of years and then it became silly.

I thought the first couple of seasons were great and then it got really bad but season 9 redeemed itself for me.

Understandable. I stuck with it even though seasons 5-8 were terrible but I definitely understand not wanting to stick with it after season 3 or 4.

I imagine it is hard to come up with new ideas. However, the comic books were published for many years. There is so much good material there that could be used.

That's true. The creators really tried though but it didn't really work for the most part for most of the seasons. Doomsday arc was horrible.

I had a pretty extensive comic book collection as a kid. I had the first issues of the X-men, Iron Man, Nick Fury Agent of Shield, Daredevil and others. I had the first appearance of the Black Panther in the Fantastic Four, also the 3 issue saga of the Silver Surfer. I had the issue that showed how Professor X ended up in a wheelchair. My mother threw them all away when I went away to college. I would be rich no if she didn't do that

I loved this series growing up. It was a show I went to see every Wednesday when it aired right after school. I don't remember too much of it though, but I remember that Lionel Luthor was a favorite character of mine.
