A regular but controlled amount of video game playing is actually good for brain health. So in that sense it is acceptable.

However, if you have a grossly overweight 35 year old couch potato man or woman for that matter, who does nothing but sit on his/her fat, cellulite dimpled arse eating bag after bag of cheese flavoured Doritos and playing video games all day and night until 3/4am and then doesn’t wake up from his/her food coma until 1pm, it shouldn’t be acceptable as it puts strain on the services and health system of society while making no positive contribution.

Yes, hobbies - this includes gaming, is perfectly acceptable for EVERYONE, anyone who thinks anything else is childish and close minded as fuck.
