Whether it is true and Justin Bieber unfollowed his wife or that he was hacked, it's a non-story. Another case study in “shock value to maintain relevance”, but let's address the more fundamental proposition at work here: aught social media updates to have any material pertinence to someone's relationship?
This really should not matter, but it was not so long ago that "Facebook official"—where people put their status on their Facebook profile as "in a relationship"—was in vogue and it actually carried weight. It was the Millennial equivalent of "making a line item in the marriage registrar at the local church"—even if the couple was not. However, as more and more people got into relationships and put the "in a relationship" flair on their profile, only to latter remove it when they broke up at some later point, the meaning of the term became dilute. People started to realize it wasn't an actual accomplishment, it was not permanent; it had become a participation trophy, a way to say "I was here and I did a thing, like everyone else", but without putting in any of the work. You're not in a relationship, you're not married in any sense of the word (even if you actually are), you're just pretending to be. It's why relationships themselves have been rendered increasingly meaningless. They hold less and less significance, with every casual breakup and get-together.
Gen Z, more than any other generation, is guilty of this “relational anti-assessment.” They don’t accept things as they are, they are constantly in an ontological battle with the idea of “the situation” and so the culture at large has suffered. The normalcy bias of the Overton Window has been expanded, to include unconventional open marriages and “situationships”, because the idea of “exclusivity” seems to have become antiquated. At the very least, newer generations don’t seem to know how to “let sleeping dogs lie”. It's all performative set dressing now, like putting on an outfit. "What public persona will I wear today? Will I act like an adult or just be a juvenile again...”
Well their divorce is part of my 2025 pop culture predictions…👀
Do I care? No! I just like his songs. He has that pop star vibe but he disappointed Indian audiences. It’s okay because I didn’t go to his concert. I love that he visited the slums because even poor kids deserve to see him not only the filthy rich who paid for the concert tickets. I have also seen the slums for my college survey and they’re pretty scary. Slumdog millionaire is realistic. Don’t believe the Indian celebrities who criticise that movie just because they don’t care about the poor people
Who cares really? Why this has to be national news? "A person just unfollowed his wife on social media? Wow is that really important taht needs to be disscused all over the gossip and media outlets like if it was a math subject on the university? Gee they are husband and wife, they live together what is it importaMt one unfollowed the other, they ARE SPOUSES AND LIVE UNDER THE SAME ROOF"". When a person really cares for this type of news, it means society is going down the drain.
A 53 yr old cared enough to complain about when very well could have moved past the article after reading what it was about. So you do care what handsome young king is upto
Social media unfollowings can sometimes be accidental or a sign of something deeper. While it's not uncommon for celebrities to unfollow one another briefly, it doesn't always indicate a major issue like a pending divorce. They have shown strong support for each other in the past. It's best to avoid jumping to conclusions without more context. 💑📱

Maybe they got into a fight or she refuses to cooperate with his lifestyle plans and he is trying to force her to cooperate with his plans by imposing some kind of pressure on her.

😂😂😂😆🤣I need this
Why does anyone care about this has-been? He's probably seeing Miley on the sly.
They just had a kid I'm sure it's nothing lol
He just said that he got hacked lol but peoples think he lied
I follow him, they seem happy asf so I doubt anything is wrong.
who looks at these things? i have better things to do than to look if some singer is still following his spouse on social media lol

Why should we care? Does it really matter. My wife and I don't follow each other on Instagram... so what?
It's gotta be tough being a star... probably wise to disconnect regardless!
He's been acting real bipolar and shady ever since Selena announced her engagement.
I really don't care. People unfollowing and unfriending, it's so stupid. Probably intentional. Why. Beats me.
This emphasis on unfollowin on Instagram us getting really old and dumb.
Who gives a shit?
I will never understand why anyone cares about what celebs do in their personal lives.
Don't care. There are real problems in the world.
hat is between the two of them to sort out with one another. I have no interest in their lives, for my own life is complicated enough as it is.
I give approximately zero fucks about Justine Bieber
Should have thought of that before having a kid 😆🤦🏼♀️
Is this really something that people think affects them throughout their day?
Divorce for sure he always love Selena.
I don't think it is possible to care less.
Who cares? Meaningless celeb BS
How did this get 27 replies? Only on gag
I couldn’t give less of a fuck.
He is gay and she is lesbian
Yawn.
