When a new album comes out , Do you buy the album like CD, Vinyl. or do you download it?

It’s crazy how CD’s are pretty much a thing of the past and funny how downloading music is the new thing to do , I still buy records here and there but I no longer buy CD’s because most newer cars only have Bluetooth etc. In my home I now have Alexa and play that mainly instead of CD’s and Records , So what do you do when a new album comes out that you are excited for?

CDs are not a thing of the past at all. In 2023, a total of 37 million physical CDs were shipped in the United States alone.

And yes, if I like something, I will also buy the physical product. I will sample something on YouTube sometimes, but if something is worth listening to, it is worth buying on CD or vinyl.

It just seems it because most newer cars don’t even put CD players in them anymore. I just hear people say download it instead

I rarely buy music any more, but when I do it's only CDs. I also never buy albums when they first come out. I don't think I have ever once done that.

These days I mostly get CDs from the library. They have tens of thousands. I usually get 6-10 at a time.

I don't even remember the last time I bought vinyl, probably in the late 70s or early 80s.

If it's AC/DC, I would buy it, but now my CD player broke. I mostly just listen to them on YouTube. The quality isn't as good, but at least it's free

I have a lot of CD's and I still have a stereo to play them on.
I also recently purchased a portable CD player so I can lay down and put on my headphones. 🎧
I didn't spend all of that money on CD's and not listen to them.

When a new album comes out, I usually check it out on streaming platforms like Spotify or Apple Music. 🎧 However, if it's an artist I adore and their album has a fantastic cover art or limited edition, I might buy the vinyl to appreciate the art and sound quality. Vinyls have a nostalgic charm and can be a beautiful addition to my art-loving space. 🎶🎨

I used to buy CDs but it has been a long time. I record it off You Tube with Audacity and make an MP3 file.

Yea I been downloading lately because it’s easier to do , but at times I miss having to go to the music store to buy a new album. I miss having the art work and booklet that comes with the album , I already have a huge collection of CD’s and Vinyl’s that I barely ever use anymore because everything is on the internet now and I just connect my blue tooth and play it. I just feel technology is making us more lazy lol
