How much time do you usually spend when you go to a musuem?

It depends on the museum. I prefer natural history and science museums over art museums, for example.

I once spent 8 hours at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in Washington DC, followed by 5 hours at its Natural History Museum the following day.

I spent about an hour at the Louvre in Paris, and about the same at the Prado in Madrid.

@MikeTheBartender When I was in the Louvre, I was with an older couple where the hubby had COPD and could not walk up stairs etc and tired very easily. I could have spent HOURS there but left when he was fatigued.

LA County Museum of Art, probably four to five hours. Same at The Getty. There is also the Art Walk in Laguna on First Thursday of the month. I usually spend the entire three hours looking through the galleries and artist displays.

I usually plan on spending at least an entire day if not more than that at a museum. There typically is a lot to look at and a lot to learn.
