Do tv stars have to get their teeth fixed?

I'm watching deadliest catch, the crab fishing show. Anyways, I can see an actor on the lifetime channel needing nice straight white teeth, but i'm kind of surprised it would matter on this particular show. My guess is they're probably at least made to get them whitened. The tv probably doesn't show them good enough to see if they're actually straight is my only thinking. They sure all look straight though. Maybe they get paid enough to do whatever it takes to make them nice and straight I don't know. opinions? Or the discovery channel pays for it. Hell, it's like $5k just for a root canal and crown these days.

Yes it's called a media makeover or media treatment. It didn't matter as much before hi def.

Well they usually start with whitening which is pretty fast and easy, then they go for veneers, which will often include straightening behind-the-scenes, and some like Selena Gomez or Simon Cowell get them WAY TOO WHITE the way girls get boobs that are way too big because that's how the doctor thinks it should be, not because it actually looks good. One reality girl got HH boobs because the (very famous Hollywood) surgeon convinced her that's what she would look best with, they were so horrible she later had them reduced to D size.

Teeth have a natural color which is not “bright white,” which really good prosthodontists know and spend a lot of time perfecting for each person.

After that they could go for full restorations if they wanted to, but I think most stars just stick with the veneers. The more valuable a star becomes the more money a show will put into their look. I can't imagine a reality star becoming so valuable that a show would put as much money into them as a movie star, but you never know what an agent will put into a deal, especially when series get picked up and for longer and longer terms.

Aren't veneers just covers that go over the teeth? Pretty sure that just rots them faster. I guess they have really fast ways of straightening teeth nowadays instead of braces
