Do actors ever get sick while filming for movies?

If they do, do they film WHILE being sick? Or do they take off days, which postpones the production.

Maybe this is also why certain movies take time before being released to the public. A year of filming should give them enough time to get all the scenes in, without sickness or injury, and execute the scenes well without any serious flaws.

I wondered all this, thinking, what if an actor/actress had a stuffy nose or lost their voice. How would they then deliver their lines.

Every situation for every actor is different of course. The famous gun versus knife fight scene in Indiana Jones was improvised by Harrison Ford because he was sick and did not want to act out an elaborate physical fight. The director found it funny, so it stayed in the final cut.
