The heroes killed all of the villains, so now I'm fresh out of ideas. Um, what do you think the next villain, or hero, should have as their super-powers?
I'm not sure it counts as a superpower, But I'm still entertained by an ad from c1990 where a guy with xray vision says to a fairly well... built... girl carrying a bag of groceries... "Boy, you sure have a lot of pepperoni in that bread."

Telepathy powers. I swear it would use these powers to make people orgasm.

Precisely why God doesn't actually give super-powers to anyone, which is one of the themes I encounter as I write my book.
- 2 mo
Actually its because there is no such thing as god.
- 2 mo
@TheSpaceGnome You atheists sure are hard-headed. The fact anything at all exists proves it was Created by a pre-existing intelligence.
- 2 mo
Actually the universe was never created, it always existed.
The fact that space and time are infinite, and the fact that matter can only be transformed, not created or destroyed, proves that the universe is infinite in size and age.
So any creationist idea is automatically false.
The universe was never created. - 2 mo
Regardless of what something is, something came before it, something caused it.
Your argument is that the universe needed to be created to exist, but then you would need to apply that same logic to why god exists, and why the thing that created god exists, and so on infinitely backwards, so your logic is contradictory, which makes you the "hard headed" one. - 2 mo
Basically because of causality, there was no begining, there will be no end, and their is no edge to the universe.
- 2 mo
@TheSpaceGnome And you're uneducated. The Universe was created in the Big Bang, and we know almost the exact second that happened. Time before the Big Bang is meaningless, because this reality did not exist "before" the Big Bang.
The Big Bang Model was proposed by a Creationist Catholic Christian, by the way.
You are either a liar or terribly poorly educated. You are taught this in the 3rd grade for God's Sake. - 2 mo
@TheSpaceGnome No, because God is self-eternal, because it's possible for a self-motivated being to be self-eternal.
The Universe is causal and obeys the laws of Entropy. If the Universe were infinite, it would have already reached a state of infinite entropy and no further work could be done. - 2 mo
@TheSpaceGnome Wrong. Because of causality, something must be self-eternal, and because this universe obeys logical laws which are ordered and never fail, that something which is self-eternal must be intelligent. i. e. "God".
Infinite regress doesn't work either, guy. "From Nothing Comes Nothing". - 2 mo
1. The big bang did not create the universe, it was a local event that has happened an infinite number of times in an infinite number of locations (just like everything else), its no more significant than the formation or destruction of any planet, star, nebula, galaxy or supercluster.
2. You are the uneducated one, this is made obvious by your circular logic of "the universe needed to be created to exist, but god doesn't".
3. if god can be self eternal, then so can the universe, you either think something needs to be created to exist, or you don't, either way you end up with no begining because of causality.
4. Your interpretation of entropy and its affect on the universe is wrong.
5. Your last comment contradicts your entire argument, by claiming that a begining to eternity is possible, which is a cognitive dissonance.
You cannot be on both sides of the debate.
- 2 mo
Also "nothingness" is impossible. Everything is something, there is no state of being "nothing" thats pure fiction. And anything to have ever existed anywhere at anytime is part of the same universe.
- 2 mo
Also no model proposed by a religious person could ever be taken seriously.
Faith is not a science. - 2 mo
Also, the event that Georges refers to as the big bang, isn't even confirmed as an actual expansion event, let alone a universe wide one, its merely a completely or partially incorrect interpretation.
- 2 mo
Lastly, 3rd grade? really? thats the level of education you're basing astronomy and physics on?
Lmfao 😂 - 2 mo
@TheSpaceGnome You need to read the Wikipedia article on the Big Bang, bozo. There is no physical reality before the Big Bang.
God is not a physical being and is not subject to the laws of physical beings. - 2 mo
@TheSpaceGnome I'm going to go ahead and humiliate you.
Quote: "A wide range of empirical evidence strongly favors the Big Bang event, which is now essentially universally accepted.[5] Detailed measurements of the expansion rate of the universe place the Big Bang singularity at an estimated 13.787±0.02 billion years ago, which is considered the age of the universe. "End Quote - 2 mo
1. That quote is old and has since been debunked, humiliation failed.
2. wikipedia is known for having false information and crackpot claims, no self respecting scientists relies on a google search.
3. There is no such thing as "non physical", even massless objects are physical things. - 2 mo
4. The universe runs on physical laws, thus anything involved with it also does. However bahavior of objects changes by circumstance and scale. Though this reinforces my point, not yours.
- 2 mo
Also quotes are not evidence. Logic, math, vibrations, observations, experiments, these things are evidence.
- 2 mo
@TheSpaceGnome The quote is from the leading experts in the field, you numbskull. Go back to school.
- 2 mo
Its confirmed to be a baseless claim dude. Learn the scientific method.
Authority does not automatically equal fact.
Scientists admit they are are wrong all the time, and are proven wrong by other scientists all the time. It's why science advances when religion doesn't.
Go back to school. - 2 mo
You are basically the equivalent of someone saying iguanodon is a big lizard with a nose horn because during the time of its discovery that was the consensus.
We've moved on from that shit ages ago. - 2 mo
@TheSpaceGnome I'm telling you the truth. What you are spouting is a crock of lies and misinformation.
- 2 mo
Might want to look in the mirror next time you say that.
You've done nothing but spew lies, misinterpretations, assumptions, and outdated information this entire convo.
Give it a rest dude.
I'm unfollowing this and blocking you, its like talking to a poorly programmed AI. - 2 mo
@slatyb The God in Isaiah says there was no God formed before him, no God beside him, and there will be no God after him.
The intelligence which existed at the beginning is in constant increase. Think of God as being all Potential (Omnipotent) which could ever exist. In that sense He is intelligence exemplified.

If I could choose a super-power for a character, I'd opt for the ability to manipulate time. 🚀 This power opens up endless possibilities for unique storylines and character development. Whether it's reversing events, pausing moments, or glimpsing into the future, controlling time can add an intriguing layer to your narrative, making the hero or villain both powerful and complex. Time manipulation can create rich stories full of suspense, drama, and unexpected twists!

I already have a total of three characters with at least some means of time manipulation. Jonathan Tanner has the ability to teleport 5 seconds back in time once every 6 seconds, effectively multiplying his lifespan by a factor of 5. I'm fishing for new ideas here. Here are some I've already used:
Half-Angel
Neutron Absorption
Summoning
Dream Walking
Dimensional Travel
Dimensional Morphing
Time Bending
Time Teleportation
Time Reversing
Weather and elemental control
Telepathy
Love Magic
Telekinesis
Healing magic
Shadow Magic
Matter-merging and absorption
Unstable mutations
Shapeshifting
Multiples
Etherealness
Illusions
and several more.

Hmm, that would be a form of Reality Warper I think. Like Logic Bombing or something, which is an idea I've already explored. So the character can re-write the story at times in some comical fashion I presume.
