What is your favorite Star Wars movie and why?

For me, Revenge of the Sith bar none.

The first one. It opened in 1977 when I was 23 years old and it blew my mind. The opening scene grabbed you. And the visuals and new sound effects technology were absolutely ground breaking. They set a new standard.
Light sabers, Darth Vader, TIE fighters and the Death Star were cool.
Since I was young, even some of the silliness didn't bother me.

But I didn't like the subsequent films. They devolved into children's films with Ewoks, Jar Jar Binks, young Luke Skywalker on his motor cycle, etc.

Probably return of the jedi. Because I remember going to see that when I was 8 years. old. Those young memories are kind of magical as you get older. Also because it ties up the trilogy. But I see where you're coming from with revenge of the sith. Most people I know knock on that movie. I thought it was really good.

Unfortunately I can't stand any of them, not even the original trilogy. I was forced to watch it back in high school and write papers on them which was just a miserable experience.

It's the only original and it's what I grew up with. I can watch the prequel trilogy, even though I don't find them very good. That superfluous Disney stuff I completely avoid.
