I never really liked “Seinfeld”. I’ve seen multiple episodes and some are less terrible than others, but i never understood why everyone loved it. It took me a few tries to get through “The Big Lebowski”. I still didn’t get it until a friend sat me down and we watched it together. He pointed out the hilarity in a lot of the things i just thought were ridiculous, and others that i overlooked entirely. Recently, i tried to get into “Yellowjackets”. The story is completely disjointed and the drama repels me, rather than drawing me in. I haven’t been able to convince myself to watch an episode in months. What shows or movies did you give another shot or three because everyone else loved them?
Is there a movie or a show that you didn’t really like, but gave it a second chance because it seemed like everyone was raving about it?
The Trailer Park Boys. I didn't think it would be my type of show, a lot of swearing and drugs but I have never laughed so hard watching a show! There is a character, Ricky, that reminds me sooo much of a friend of mine. It took me about three episodes to get to know and understand the characters, then I couldn't stop watching it lol
It took me a while to get into “Friends” because i had so many sitcoms disappointment me with the typical ‘all men are bumbling idiots’ tropes. It took a few episodes for me to see that all of the main characters on “Friends” are idiots in their own ways. So i finally relaxed and let the humor in. It’s pretty ridiculous most of the time, but there are some gems.

Friends. And I still don't get the hype. Such a generic show.
