How diverse is your music playlist?

Mine is pretty diverse with a mix of country, rock, pop, classical, and oldies

Pretty diverse, just maybe imbalanced.

I don’t make many playlists, I’d say this is more my music collection in total. I only make artist-specific playlists that are essentially my estimation of their “greatest hits”, and you need at least like a dozen good songs to get a playlist. I should make more but I never make the time.

I’m a hip-hop guy through-and-through, so that’s the majority of my collection. And I like that EXTRA gangsta shit, lmao. Like if you aren’t ad-libbing gunshot noises over your track, I probably can’t fuck with you🤣

Then I have all kinds of modern music. 70s classic rock, and soul/R&B; 80s has hair metal and pop music, the 90s were my formative years, so all kinds of stuff from then, even things I wouldn’t have been caught dead listening to at the time, haha.

In the 00s the music scene started to dip a bit, in my opinion, but it still gave us that pop-punk and emo scene, that I weirdly love. And Dipset, little Wayne, all the 00s rap.

Post-2010 is mostly Griselda, Freddie Gibbs, and one of my new favorites, Boldy James. Basically just this era’s gangsta rap. That’s always “home” to me, at the end of the day, haha.

But yeah, my music is all over the place. Almost no country, that’s not my speed at all, although I do have a little Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. The modern “Stadium” Country, I can’t stand that stuff, respectfully.

Pretty diverse. I have about 6,500 songs from my music collection on my phone.

Rock, Progressive Rock, Hard Rock, Southern Rock, Heavy Metal, Rock Ballad, Pop, Jazz, Blues, Soul, R&B, Broadway, Folk, Folk Rock, Classic Country, Modern Country, Big Band, Funk, Classical, African Slide Guitar, New Age, Traditional Irish, Punk, Rap, Bluegrass, Rockabilly, Surfer, Japanese Odaiko Drum, Salsa, etc.

I tend to buy whatever sounds good or interesting to me and stuff with historical significance.

I like different varieties, but I don’t like hip hop and rap. And I hate today’s pop because of singers with horrible voices and too much synth! I like the old rock and roll and the old country. Some new country is okay, but music back in the 50s like Elvis, 60s like The Beach Boys, 70s when Boston, The Cars and Van Halen released their debuts, the 80s when artists had amazing music, WAS THE BEST! The music started to die when the 90s came around. I may be a millennial born in 1995, but I listen to the old stuff. Call me Mr. Moldie Oldies, but I have a taste for real music with vocalists who can actually carry a tune!
