Who is your favorite fictional character and why?

For me, it's Buffy Summers from Buffy the Vampire Slayer because she represents strength, vulnerability, and the struggles of growing up with great responsibility at a young age while trying to navigate friendships and romance.

I can sort of relate to having to deal with a lot of the things she had to deal with minus the supernatural part especially in season 6 with the depression and coping through sex.

Tyler Durden, because he is the irrepressible Id of modern man.
Jeff Lebowski, because he abides.
The Incredible Hulk, because when Banner fails to reason with the unreasonable, Hulk just smashes them.
Rocky Balboa, because he always finds a way to overcome.
Temperance Brennan, because she values facts, reasoning and rationale above all else.
Dr. Cal Lightman, because he knows when you’re lying.
Dr. Greg House, because he’s so great at what he does, people overlook who he is.
Bastian Balthazar Bux, because against all odds, he believed.
Adrian (Balboa), because she never gave up on her fella. More importantly, she never let him give up on himself.

I'll pick Severus Snape because he was a misunderstood man. When he loved he loved with all his heart, yes he was a flawed character but I think that's what makes him seem more human because he wasn't 100 % goody good. He made mistakes. He tried to make amends. He changed his life and devoted it for someone he truly loved and how his small mistake changed his destiny and her's.

I like Buffy, I think she's a  great androgynous personality  combining the best of both worlds. One fav character to me, in the lands of TV shows, is   as it is a fascinatingly flawed character.  He's a total mess ethically speaking , selfish to the bone, lying his way through anything, gently manipulating everyone in order to be respected and trusted. He's lusting for power, for sex, his cowardice knows no boundaries, and he's fundamentally delusional. I love him because I see him as representative of our darkest yet very ordinary shortcomings.  He's all of us, blissfully, joyfully humane.

but I'll pick one that I really liked and I might give it a rerun again, lol... I do like when they are on the more complex or "complicated" side, and not trying to be the perfect or always right

I liked buffy tvs too when it aired on tv. However a fctional character I felt most attuned withis Tom Hanks character in Saving Private Ryan. So much of that character resonates with me. I also have a lot of time for the lead character in the book series Red Riding called Darrow, a working lad from the bottom of future human society mining Mars for the ruling Gold caste in an inter planetary drama.
