Africa by Toto
Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode
End of the Line by The Traveling Wilburys
I'm on Fire by Bruce Springsteen
Rapture by Blondie
Oh boy, just five? I was alive for it, so that’s a lot of music to choose from, haha.
Tell you what, I’m going to go with my favorite 80s songs more from the pop genre, as that’s the most quintessentially 80s-sounding. Like Welcome To The Jungle is 80s, but it’s hard rock 80s. I’m looking for stuff with more synthesizer, lmao.
Africa would definitely be up there, but you covered that one already. I guess I’ll go with….
Ah-Ha - Take On Me is classic
I love Jackson Browne - Somebody’s Baby
https://www.youtube.com/embed/Xk2NHZukTYgLove Is A Battlefield by Pat Benatar
https://www.youtube.com/embed/IGVZOLV9SPoTake Me Home Tonight by Eddie Money still goes dumb hard….
https://www.youtube.com/embed/3aJvIFK9-xkAnd I’ll finish up with Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World
One kinda interesting thing to add: in the Eddie Money song, the female vocalist is Ronnie Spector, lead singer of The Ronettes, the girl group from the 60s that sang that really famous Be My Baby song, probably 20-ish years prior. So that would be like some current singer breaking out Christina Aguilera or Pink or something from the 00s, and incorporating a lyric from one of their old hits, haha

Somebody’s Baby from Fast Times. I love it when it’s playing during the sex scenes with Mike and Stacy.
Stacy’s mom did NOT have it going on.
@Titanic1912 I don’t know if we ever saw Stacy’s mom🤔 BUT…. she always had iced tea on deck, lmao. What a preposterous “invite yourself in” line. “Do you have any iced tea?”😂 What a random question🤣🤣🤣
@WhiteSteve, we did. She kissed Stacy good night before she snuck out with Mike to the baseball field.
@Titanic1912 OH, that’s right! Poor form by me, haha
I Can’t Drive 55-Sammy Hagar
Poison-Alice Cooper
Rock Of Ages-Def Leppard
Poundcake-Van Halen
Turn Up The Radio-Autograph
I know Poundcake was in the 90s, but it’s my fourth favorite song of all time. The other 4 songs are 80s hits.
For my 5th 80s hit, it will be Hot For Teacher by Van Halen!
Self Control by Laura Branigan
Out of Touch By Hall and Oates
Head Over Heels by Tears for Fears
Love Shack by the B-52s
Under the Milky Way by the Church
I always thought Love Shack was 90s, but I think it was released in 89?
Yeah it was.
I love Love Shack!
Africa performed by Weezer with Weird Al instead of Rivers Cuomo
